Sugar substitute Fitparad No. 1,7,10 and 14: benefits and harm, photos and reviews

Today, on supermarket shelves and in online stores you can find a lot of products positioned as “organic” and “bio”. In my article you will find an analysis of the benefits and harms of the fit parad sweetener, find out what compositions the fitparad sugar substitute has, and I will also share my review as a doctor. You will also find out who the manufacturers intended it for, and whether it is worth introducing dishes and drinks containing this sweetener into your daily diet.

Fit Parade is positioned by the manufacturer as completely natural, containing only natural ingredients. This is a white crystalline powder, reminiscent of refined sugar, packaged or in portioned sachets of 1 g each, with a total weight of 60 g or in large bags (doypack) with a measuring spoon inside or in plastic jars.

Chemical composition

Fit Parade is a white sweetener with a crystalline structure that is instantly soluble in water. Externally, the sweetener is very similar to sugar and has a taste close to refined sugar, but unlike it, it consists of safe, low-calorie components approved by Rospotrebnadzor and WHO, characterized by a zero glycemic index. The components of the drug include:

Erythritol

A natural sweetener, which is a crystalline sugar alcohol molecule that does not contain proteins, fats, or carbohydrates. The calorie content of erythripol is 0-0.2 kcal, and the glycemic index is 0 (in comparison, refined sugar has 2), which makes it an indispensable supplement for lovers of sweets, those suffering from diabetes, obesity, or those seeking to lead a healthy lifestyle.

Erythritol contains corn and tatone, and the sweetness of the powder reaches 0.6 units. from sugar. In nature, this sweetener can be found in melons, pears and grapes, which makes it absolutely safe for any organism.

Sucralose

An artificially created chemical compound often used in the manufacture of confectionery products. Sucralose is currently considered absolutely safe for the body, since out of 85% of the substances entering the body, only 15% is absorbed, and even those are excreted by the kidneys within 24 hours.

The sweetener tastes very sweet (600 times sweeter than sugar) and is therefore allowed only in very small doses. The sucralose molecule does not contain carbohydrates, which makes it indispensable for people suffering from obesity and diabetes, and is also very useful for teeth, since it helps protect against caries by cleaning tooth enamel well.

Stevioside

Natural sweetener E 960, obtained from dried Stevia leaves.

Due to its very sweet taste (300 times stronger than that of sugar cane), stevioside is used in the manufacture of:

  • baking;
  • confectionery products;
  • liquor products;
  • dairy products;
  • carbonated drinks;
  • juices

E 960 is considered one of the oldest nutritional supplements that helps cope with:

  • with obesity;
  • with diabetes mellitus;
  • with exacerbation of cardiovascular diseases;
  • with hypertension;
  • with heartburn.

Stevioside is not allowed for pregnant and nursing mothers, since its full effect on the body remains incompletely studied.

Rose hip extract

An extract from plant fruits with a rich, sweet taste and a huge amount of vitamins and microelements. Due to its beneficial properties, rose hip extract is widely used in medicine as an immunomodulatory, choleretic agent that helps cope with excess weight and protect the heart and blood vessels by removing excess cholesterol from the body.

Jerusalem artichoke extract

Inulin-rich pear squeeze, which has a good cleansing effect.

Jerusalem artichoke, rich in vitamins:

  • normalizes the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract;
  • promotes the dissolution of cholesterol plaques;
  • fights heartburn, diarrhea, dysbacteriosis;
  • has a choleretic effect;
  • Helps normalize blood sugar levels.

Patient opinions

Having understood the composition of various Fit Parade sweetener options, many find it difficult to make a final choice. Judging by the reviews of diabetics and people who decided to give up refined sugar, the most popular option is number 7. It's easiest to find in stores.

Reviews of the Fit Parade 7 sweetener indicate that diabetics use it not only as a sugar substitute for tea, coffee or compote. Many people add it to yogurt, kefir, baked goods, and cottage cheese. Its taste characteristics are almost indistinguishable from regular sugar; there is no bitterness or unpleasant aftertaste that occurs after consuming other sweeteners. There is also no foreign chemical smell.

Some endocrinologists advise not to take the first sweetener option you come across, but to look for Fit Parade No. 14. It contains erythritol and stevioside - these are components made from natural raw materials. The taste of the substitute is similar to regular sugar. The difference is felt, as a rule, only in the first days of use.

It is important to follow the recommendations of endocrinologists and manufacturers, who say that you should not consume more than 45 g of Fit Parada daily. But when calculating the daily intake, it is necessary to take into account: . how many cups of sweet tea/compote/coffee/milk or other drinks were drunk per day; how much sweetener did you add to yogurt, cottage cheese; Have you consumed foods that contain sweeteners throughout the day (this could be baked goods or a purchased sweet bar for diabetics).

  • how many cups of sweet tea/compote/coffee/milk or other drinks were drunk per day;
  • how much sweetener did you add to yogurt, cottage cheese;
  • Have you consumed foods that contain sweeteners throughout the day (this could be baked goods or a purchased sweet bar for diabetics).

If you follow the dosage specified by the manufacturer, there should be no problems when consuming the sweetener. If atypical reactions occur, then it should be abandoned.

Prices

Prices for the drug vary depending on the brand of the product, as well as its quantity contained in the package. The instructions for “Fit Parade No. 7” indicate that 1 gram of product replaces 5 grams of sugar in terms of sweetness. A simple calculation convinces us that the substitute is an order of magnitude more expensive than sugar. It is difficult to say whether such a price difference is compensated by the advertised advantages over sugar.

When choosing a sweetener, you should not be guided by advertising. If you have diabetes associated with excess weight, you should consult your doctor. Only a choice taking into account all factors (the severity of the disease, the amount of extra pounds, concomitant diseases, etc.) will bring maximum benefit and avoid undesirable consequences.

Experts' opinion

Reviews from doctors about the Fit Parad sweetener are mostly positive. Everyone notes its benefits for diabetics who find it difficult to give up sweets right away (many experience depression and nervous disorders as a result of this) - this is much easier to do with a sweetener.

“Fit Parade” is recognized as an innovative sugar substitute belonging to the highest class. The production of the substance is carried out using scientific achievements and the latest technology. Due to its compliance with all quality control and quality control requirements, this sugar substitute is recommended for people with diabetes to improve their quality of life.

Petr Alekseevich, nutritionist

I often recommend “Fit Parade” to my patients who cannot immediately stop eating sugar. This problem occurs in people with diabetes and excess weight. Sakhzam is simply irreplaceable for these categories of people, since it is very difficult for them to limit themselves to sweets and completely eliminate them. “Fit Parade” can be present in small quantities in the daily diet of many people. I strongly recommend not to abuse sweets, as well as sugar substitutes, in order to avoid complications.

Alexandra, doctor

The price of Fit Parad depends on its type and weight and can range from 140 to 560 rubles.

Advantages

Fit Parade is a sweetener, the advantages of which include:

  1. Positive effect of the dietary supplement on the body's carbohydrate metabolism.
  2. 24-hour withdrawal of the drug from the body, which prevents it from participating in the formation of the subcutaneous fat layer.
  3. Safety for people with diabetes. Fit Parade has a low hypoglycemic index, as a result of which it does not affect the level of dextrose in the blood.
  4. Natural composition and a small list of contraindications (unlike artificial sweeteners).

Fitparad as a sugar substitute

Fitparad is the most popular sweetener. Unlike pharmaceutical sugar analogues, it is perfect for cooking. It is widely used in cooking as a sweetener for baking, confectionery and other dishes. The product contains mainly natural ingredients and is positioned as almost completely safe.

Reviews from doctors and athletes:

I have been replacing sugar with either Fitparad or Svita for a long time now. Before this, I couldn’t give up sugar for a long time; I had breakdowns all the time. The fitness parade is helping so far. A little more expensive than regular sugar, but you need much less of it. Elizaveta, fitness trainer, Kaluga

Fitparad is not as natural as the manufacturer claims. However, it is generally safe for diabetics and is great as a flavoring supplement for diets. The main thing is to maintain moderation. Arkady, nutritionist, Dnepropetrovsk

Contraindications for use

Fit Parade is not recommended for use:

  • pregnant women;
  • breastfeeding mothers;
  • teenagers under 16 years of age;
  • persons over 60 years of age;
  • people who are prone to allergic reactions.

The use of the drug while expecting a baby and while breastfeeding is undesirable due to the small number of laboratory studies performed, which prevents a full study of the effect of the nutritional supplement. Expectant and young mothers should be attentive to their health, if possible limiting themselves to sweets and giving preference to natural fruits and vegetables.

In addition, artificial components of Fit Parade can enter the placenta and breast milk, causing allergic dermatitis in a newborn baby.

Fit Parad (Fit Parad) sweetener. Composition, benefits and harms, side effects

Teenagers under 16 years of age have an incompletely formed hormonal profile and a very sensitive body that can react negatively to any synthetic components, including those included in Fit Parade. When taking a sweetener, you should strictly adhere to the instructions, since an overdose of a food additive can provoke disruption of the gastrointestinal tract, causing diarrhea.

Established restrictions

Despite the manufacturer's assurances about the naturalness of sweeteners, they contain industrially approved sweeteners and natural plant extracts. For diabetics, such sugar substitutes are necessary, because due to poor absorption of glucose, they often crave sweets. And when using manufactured sweeteners, the sugar level in the body does not change in any way.

An overdose of sweetener causes a laxative effect. No more than 45 g of Fit Parada is allowed per day. You should stop using it:

  • pregnant women due to potential effects on the fetus;
  • nursing mothers;
  • elderly people with kidney and liver diseases;
  • allergy sufferers (with established intolerance to components).

Before planning to purchase a refined sugar substitute, it is better to consult an endocrinologist

He will help you understand the variety of sweeteners and tell you what to look for when choosing.

Side effects

Side effects when taking Fit Parade occur quite rarely and are most often associated with improper use of the drug or characteristics of the body:

  1. Flatulence, diarrhea. Appear after an overdose of sweetener. The allowed intake of the product is no more than 45 grams. per day (1.5 g per cup). An increase in the amount will cause disruption of the gastrointestinal tract, causing frequent bowel movements.
  2. Allergic reactions. The components included in Fit Parade can provoke allergies in people with hypersensitivity. For the same reason, the use of Fit Parade is not advisable for adolescents under 16 years of age. Sudden itching or redness indicates the development of an allergic reaction and requires immediate discontinuation of the drug.

What are sweeteners?

People cannot do without carbohydrates because they perform important functions in the body. The main one is to provide energy for the body's vital functions.

Carbohydrates are a broad class of natural organic compounds formed by carbon, oxygen and hydrogen. They are very different in their structure. There are monosaccharides (glucose, fructose, etc.), and there are polysaccharides, consisting of several dozen monomers (starch, cellulose, etc.).

Sugar is prohibited for diabetes

Carbohydrates are classified according to how quickly they raise blood sugar.

  1. Fast carbohydrates are absorbed quickly, and glucose rises within minutes after food enters the gastrointestinal tract (sugar, syrups, milk chocolate, baked goods, etc.). All of these foods have a high glycemic index (GI).
  2. The absorption of other carbohydrates (oatmeal, bran, cocoa powder, vegetables, etc.) occurs at a slower rate, since the process of breaking them down into glucose takes a certain time. Such carbohydrates are called slow, they have a low GI.

Despite this, they all ultimately affect glucose levels.

Sugar substitutes have little or no effect on sugar levels.

They are substances of natural or artificial origin that add sweetness to foods. Some of them are close to sugar in this parameter, others are many times superior to it.

The calorie content of substitutes is usually less than the calorie content of sugar. There is a whole group of sweeteners that do not supply calories to the body, since they do not participate in metabolic processes.

The most popular natural substitutes include:

  • fructose;
  • sorbitol;
  • xylitol;
  • stevia.

Among the artificial substitutes, the most famous are:

  • saccharin;
  • aspartame;
  • sucralose.

Sweeteners can be simple, i.e. contain one substance, or combined, which include two or more components.

A drug

Harm

Fit Parade is a sweetener, considered a practically harmless drug, approved for use in cases of metabolic disorders and diabetes. Despite the fact that the food additive has undergone many tests on animals, confirming its unique qualities, the actions of the sweetener have not been fully studied, which makes its use undesirable in a certain category of people, which include pregnant and lactating women, adolescents, as well as people older age.

As part of a food additive, the danger may be caused by the synthetic component sucralose, which until recently was considered harmful to the human body. In recent years, WHO laboratory studies conducted on animals have completely refuted the prevailing stereotypes, which has made it possible to include the component in many products and actively use it in the confectionery industry.

Unfortunately, there is no reliable data on the negative effects of sucralose on the human body, since there have been insufficient studies.

Previously it was believed that the use of sucralose could provoke the appearance of:

  • severe allergic reactions;
  • oncological tumors;
  • diseases of the nervous system;
  • gastrointestinal diseases;
  • destabilization of hormonal levels;
  • increase in subcutaneous fat.

The safe amount of sucralose is no more than 4 ml per day per 1 kg of human weight. Exceeding this norm instantly causes flatulence or diarrhea.

The predominance of a large amount of sweets in the diet has a negative impact on health. Sugar substitutes make it possible to avoid such problems.

Thanks to the beneficial components contained in the composition, these products are used not only for diabetes, but also for other diseases.

Among the wide variety of sweeteners, many people prefer a product such as “Fit Parade”.

Which sweetener is best to use for diabetes?

Pharmacies and stores offer a fairly large assortment of a wide variety of sweeteners. All of them are divided into two types: natural and artificial.

These names speak for themselves. But which sweetener is best to choose? And why?

The fact is that for each person you need to select the appropriate recipe. And only the attending physician can give it. Diabetes is known to be dangerous due to high blood sugar levels. The reason for this is insufficient control and lack of diet.

Since sweeteners do not affect carbohydrate metabolism at all, this problem can be partially solved. If previously natural supplements were widely used for diabetes, now they have been “supplanted” by synthetic ones. They are very effective against obesity.

Fit Parade exists in various editions, different in composition. The choice of a suitable mixture should be based not only on taste preferences, but, as already mentioned, but also on the doctor’s prescription.

Sweetener "Fit Parade": harm or benefit?

The drug is not included in the Russian Medicines Register (RLS).

Research on this substitute has not been carried out, so it is difficult to reasonably state its negative or positive effects on the body. Its individual components have been studied and found to be safe. Whether there is a negative effect when combining several sweeteners is unknown.

Contraindications

The instructions for use attached to the substitute do not contain a list of specific contraindications.

But taking into account the components that are at its core or have an auxiliary nature, certain conclusions can be drawn on this matter.

  1. Before using the drug, you must carefully study the list of substances that make it up. If you are hypersensitive to at least one of them, in order to avoid allergic reactions, you should discard this brand and replace the sweetener with an analogue that does not contain a dangerous component.
  2. Some brands contain lactose (milk sugar). They should not be taken by people who have lactose intolerance or hypolactasia. It occurs when a person does not have enough lactase, the enzyme needed to digest lactose. You can guess about this pathological condition if bloating, pain, and diarrhea begin after eating dairy products.

People with glucose-galactose malabsorption should avoid these brands of sweetener. Lactose consists of glucose and galactose molecules. In this disease, the intestinal cells are unable to metabolize these two monosaccharides.

  1. Consumption in excess of the recommended dosage may lead to gastrointestinal upset.
  2. Women during pregnancy or breastfeeding who have type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes or excess weight problems can resort to taking a sweetener if the doctor does not object to this.
  3. It should be used with caution by people with severe kidney and liver diseases.

Indications

Recommended for patients with non-insulin-dependent diabetes and obesity.

From advertising materials dedicated to the drug, you can glean information about the advantages of this sweetener.

  1. It is emphasized that the product was produced using innovative technologies.
  2. Its excellent taste characteristics are noted.
  3. The substitute is reported to be heat-resistant, so it can be used for baking a variety of confectionery products.
  4. Another plus is low calorie content.
  5. The GI is also low.
  6. It is claimed that it helps a person quit the habit of consuming sugar.
  7. It is noted that the drug is available in a wide variety of brands, therefore, the consumer has a choice.
  8. Indicates availability of prices.

Composition of Fit Parad sweetener

"Fit Parade" contains only natural ingredients, so its use is justified and safe. Despite this, you should use a sweetener after prior consultation with your doctor, as well as studying the main components.

The product is available in the form of a crystalline powder, resembling regular refined sugar in its appearance.

  • portioned sachets weighing 1 g (total quantity 60 g);
  • a bag with a measuring spoon placed inside;
  • plastic jar.
  • erythritol;
  • rosehip extract;
  • stevizoid;
  • sucralose.

Erythritol

The component is found in many foods, including fruits, grapes, legumes and even soy sauce.

Erythritol is considered a polyol and represents a group of sugary alcohols. In industrial production, this substance is obtained from products containing starch, for example, tapioca, corn.

  1. Does not change its properties at elevated temperatures, which can reach up to 2000.

  • this substance is not as sweet compared to regular sugar, so to obtain the usual taste you will need much more sweetener;
  • Exceeding the consumption rate increases the risk of a laxative effect.

Sucralose

This component is a sugar derivative obtained through a chemical processing process. Its second name is food additive E955.

Despite the fact that the manufacturer indicates on the packaging that sucralose is obtained from sugar, its production includes 5-6 stages, during which a change in the molecular structure is observed. The component is not a natural substance because it does not occur in the natural environment.

Sucralose cannot be absorbed by the body, so it is excreted by the kidneys in its original form.

There is no reliable medical information about the possible harm from consuming the component, so it should be added to the diet with extreme caution.

In the West, this element has been used for a very long time and no side effects have yet arisen from its use. The fears associated with it are most often explained by wariness of its unnaturalness.

Reviews of the sweetener note the appearance of some side effects, which are expressed in headaches, skin rashes, and urinary disorders.

Despite the lack of evidence about the negative effects of the component, it is recommended to include it in the diet in minimal quantities. The Fitparad sweetener is considered harmless due to its insignificant content of this substance.

Stevioside (stevia)

This component is considered one of the most popular sweeteners of natural origin. It has low energy value - only 0.2 calories are contained in 1 g.

According to tests carried out in the United States, stevioside has been recognized by the American Department of Food Inspection as a safe substitute for regular sugar.

There are several drugs with which this substance should not be combined.

These include all drugs that have the following pharmacodynamic properties:

  • stabilization of lithium levels;
  • normalization of pressure;
  • decrease in blood sugar concentration.

Taking stevioside may cause the following sensations:

  • nausea;
  • muscle pain;
  • bloating in the abdomen;
  • dizziness.

Stevioside is not allowed to be used by pregnant women or mothers during lactation in order to prevent negative effects on the child. The use of this substance is allowed for diabetes, since it does not have a glycemic index. The component is great for people trying to reduce calories in their diet.

Rose hip extract

This component is a natural product. It is used in the production and production of medicines, some food products and cosmetics.

The extract contains a large amount of vitamin C, which leads to an increased risk of allergic reactions or causes heartburn.
