Many people go to famous fast food restaurants to try this particular burger. But homemade Big Tasty, like at McDonald's, can be made and assembled yourself in your own kitchen. For this you will need:
- Milk - a glass;
- Flour – 360 g;
- Granulated sugar and sunflower oil - a tablespoon each;
- One egg;
- Dry yeast – 3 g;
- Salt – 3/4 teaspoon;
- Sesame.
For meat cutlets:
- Minced beef – kilogram;
- Pepper and salt - to taste;
- Sunflower oil for frying.
For the special sauce:
- Mayonnaise – 7 tablespoons;
- Wine vinegar – a teaspoon;
- Half a beef bouillon cube;
- Half a teaspoon of dry onion, liquid smoke, dry garlic;

Now we’ll tell you how to make a big taste at home:
- Let's start with the buns. Their cooking scheme is simple. Dissolve the yeast in warm milk. Add all the remaining ingredients and knead the stiff dough. We place it in a container, which we put in a warm place and cover with a damp cloth;
- After approximately 40 minutes, the test mass should double in size. Then you need to knead it a little and divide it into 8 identical balls, each of which is then rolled out into a cake one centimeter thick and approximately 10 cm in diameter;
- Place the blanks on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and put them in a warm place for half an hour. They should rise, after which they need to be sprinkled with sesame seeds;
- Place the baking sheet in the oven. The duration of the baking process for big tasty buns is 20 minutes at 200 degrees;
- Cooking cutlets. We place the minced meat between layers of cling film and try to compact it tightly into a layer about 1 cm thick, rolling it out with a rolling pin;
- Cut out round cutlets with a diameter of approximately 10 cm (you can use a round mold for this). Salt and pepper the pieces and fry them on each side in a frying pan with vegetable oil;
- The “secret” sauce will help to fully reveal the taste of the burger. To prepare it, simply mix all the ingredients from the list;
- Now the final touch is assembling the sandwich. Cut the bun in half lengthwise and lightly brown each half in the oven or on a grill pan. Generously coat the top with Grill dressing, then add the filling. First comes a couple of onion rings, then iceberg lettuce leaves, torn by hand, followed by two tomato slices and a square slice of cheese. This is a more simplified recipe compared to the previous one, which uses ready-made buns. The instructions for making the sauce are slightly different. Otherwise, everything is the same as for any burger.
- One hamburger bun;
- Egg;
- Minced beef – 100 g;
- Ground black pepper and salt;
- Fresh tomato and pickled cucumber – 1 piece each;
- 2-3 slices of processed cheese (Hochland type);
- One onion;
- Green lettuce leaves;
- Mayonnaise – 20 g;
- Turmeric and wig - a quarter teaspoon each;
- Lemon juice.

Salt. Pepper. Mayonnaise (preferably light) – 2-3 tablespoons. Tomato ketchup – 1 tablespoon. Mustard – 1 teaspoon. Apple cider vinegar - half a teaspoon. Sugar - half a teaspoon. Liquid smoke - half a teaspoon. Salt, pepper - a pinch.
How to cook a delicious homemade burger?
First of all, I took up meat. For a more smoky taste, I decided to add bacon to the minced meat. But you don’t have to do this, since it’s not in the original recipe.
Preparing burger patties
I chopped the bacon into small pieces and added it to the minced meat.
Added 1 teaspoon of salt and half a teaspoon of ground black pepper (if you make it without bacon, you can add a little more salt).
And he mixed the minced meat properly, beating it several times (throwing it forcefully in portions onto the work surface), so that excess air would come out of it. This will make it more elastic and the cutlets will not fall apart when frying. I divided the finished minced meat into 4 portions and began to form cutlets.
I made each cutlet larger by about 25% in diameter than the bun, since it will shrink significantly when frying. The thickness of the cutlet was approximately 1 cm.
Heat the frying pan over high heat, add vegetable oil and fry the cutlets for 4 minutes on each side, turning several times.
I checked the readiness by cutting the cutlet a little.
Prepared toppings
While the cutlets were frying, I prepared the remaining ingredients. I cut the tomatoes into circles, cut the onion into half rings and shredded the iceberg lettuce.
Making sauce for the Big Tasty burger
I also prepared the sauce. I simply mixed all the ingredients that I indicated above until smooth.
As for the buns, it’s better, of course, to make them yourself, but it’s a waste of time, and I’m lazy, so I just bought ready-made buns from Bun Boys. They will perfectly replace the originals. I cut the buns lengthwise and dried them over low heat in a frying pan without adding oil. This is done to prevent the sauce from turning the buns into mush.
All the components are ready, all that remains is to assemble our Big Tasty. This must be done in reverse order. I spread the sauce on the top of the bun. Added onions.
Next comes the cutlet.
And two slices of cheese. It is better to make sure that the cutlet is still hot and the cheese melts a little.
And I completed the picture with the bottom of the bun. I pressed the burger and turned it over.
Bang! The most delicious Big Tasty burger is ready!
PS You probably thought: “What for? It’s easier to go and buy these Big Tasties at McDuck, it will cost the same money.”
And in some ways you will be right. Since I spent about the same amount of money as I would have spent on ready-made burgers.
