  • the liver, intestines and stomach function at an accelerated pace, due to which food will be digested faster, carbohydrates are immediately processed into energy, and this eliminates fat deposits;
  • reduce blood sugar levels - this reduces appetite and stops hunger attacks;
  • be cheerful even on a low-calorie diet.

But only healthy people can drink green tea. After all, this drink can have a negative effect on the mucous membrane of the stomach and intestines, worsen health in case of liver problems, and provoke the leaching of trace elements and minerals, which is fraught with problems in the musculoskeletal system.

Dietitians, in principle, are not against drinking green tea as an aid to weight loss. But, firstly, you need to accurately find out the absence or presence of contraindications to taking the drink. And secondly, it should not be perceived as a solution to all problems, since green tea “works” most effectively in conjunction with diet and exercise.

This life-saving remedy usually costs within affordable limits, and the effect promises instantaneous - that’s why it is so attractive for those who want to lose weight. But is it really that simple? Unfortunately no. Most of these teas (not all, but many) contain special diuretic and laxative substances. As a result of taking the drink, a corresponding effect occurs - liquid and often incompletely digested food are removed from the body. Yes, a person may notice that his weight has become less, but, alas, this is not due to the burning of fats, etc., but simply due to the failure to digest food. And it would be fine if everything was limited to this, but, in addition, drinking tea for weight loss can seriously harm your health.

Negative effects of pharmaceutical tea for weight loss

  • Herbal teas for weight loss are often made from green tea, which contains a lot of caffeine. This substance itself is harmless, but only with moderate consumption. If weight loss tea is taken frequently, the caffeine it contains can excessively relax the sphincter between the stomach and esophagus. As a result, gastric juice will enter the esophageal mucosa, causing a feeling of heartburn. Taking large amounts of caffeine leads to headaches, increased blood pressure, increased heart rate and insomnia.

Cooking recipes

To help yourself lose excess weight, you can not only exercise and eat right, but also drink special teas for drainage. If you do not trust purchased products, prepare the collection yourself. To do this, you need to familiarize yourself with plants that have diuretic properties, study recipes and stock up on the necessary ingredients.

Herbal tea with chamomile and lemon

To prepare chamomile-lemon tea, you will need 25 g of plant flowers and the juice of half a citrus. Boil 0.25 liters of water, pour in chamomile, place the container in a water bath. Boil the broth for a quarter of an hour, then add lemon juice. This volume is designed for 3 servings, which should be drunk on an empty stomach three times a day, after filtering through gauze.

With ginger and rosehip

From rose hips and ginger root you can prepare a drink that accelerates metabolic processes and has a mild laxative effect. The sequence of the process is as follows:

  1. Grind 2 tbsp. l. rose hips, ginger root, 3 cm long, 1 tsp each. senna and mint.
  2. Pour 1 liter of boiling water and leave overnight.
  3. Drink 200 ml warm before each meal.

Collection of herbs for weight loss

The herbal mixture, consisting of 13 components, has a lot of beneficial properties. The technology for preparing the drink is as follows:

  1. Take 25 g each of chamomile, motherwort, dill seeds, senna, 50 g each of peppermint, oregano, 35 g each of lingonberries, rose hips, 15 g each of dandelion flowers, calendula, yarrow, string, kelp. Stir.
  2. Take 25 g of herbal mixture, pour 250 ml of boiling water, leave for about 6 hours.
  3. Strain the drink and divide into 3 parts. Drink on an empty stomach three times a day.

Tea with a diuretic effect from lingonberry, juniper and mint leaves

To prepare this drink you will need birch, lingonberry, juniper leaves, rose hips and a few mint leaves for flavor. The recipe is:

  1. Take 50 g of a mixture of juniper, birch and lingonberry leaves and chop them.
  2. Pour in 1 tsp. herbs with a glass of boiling water, leave for 6 hours. Strain.
  3. Heat, add 2 chopped rosehips (barberries), 2-3 mint leaves.
  4. Drink once a day half an hour before or 30 minutes after meals.

Black tea is an effective tool for weight loss

It turns out that black tea can also effectively fight extra pounds. Recently, a diet using it has been gaining more and more momentum. Where it came from and who its author is is unknown, but the results are impressive - almost 60% of women who used it lost 5-8 kg of excess weight in a week.

Third day – milk and tea:

On this day, the regime changes somewhat - it is hourly, and we will only have tea with milk as food (water and milk are taken equally): 8.00, 10.00, 13.00, 14.00, 15.00, 16.00, 18.00, 19.00, 21.00 - the last cup.

The fourth day is apple day:

  • Breakfast (don't forget about a glass of black tea 20 minutes before meals): 3 green apples;
  • Lunch: 2 green apples;
  • Dinner: three apples.

The fifth day is meat (you can eat boiled veal or lean beef):

  • Breakfast: 100 g of boiled lean meat;
  • Lunch and dinner: 150 g of boiled lean meat.

The meat should be cooked in one piece, without spices and salt, only with the addition of herbs, onions and carrots.

Day six – carrot:

For today's menu, let's prepare a salad: grate peeled carrots on a coarse grater and add honey. Salad ready. The amount of carrots is different for each meal:

  • Breakfast: 2 carrots and a teaspoon of honey;
  • Lunch: 4 carrots and three teaspoons of honey;
  • Dinner: 3 carrots and 1.5 teaspoons of honey.

The seventh day is the most pleasant, since we will eat semolina porridge with jam or honey:

  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner: a serving of semolina porridge (with milk) with a teaspoon of honey or jam. To increase the nutritional value of the diet, semolina porridge can be flavored with chopped dried apricots, raisins or crushed nuts.

Semolina porridge can be replaced with rice porridge - the principle remains the same: add honey or dried fruits (nuts) and eat three times a day.

Drinking liquid during meals is strictly prohibited. You can drink only 30 minutes before meals (20 minutes before breakfast, lunch and dinner, we drink a cup of black tea without fail).

How to lose weight with tea?

There are three options: the first is to drink 6 cups of tea daily (preferably green), without changing your diet (however, excessive abuse of junk food is also undesirable).
The result will be a smooth weight loss of up to 4 kg per year. The second option is to have a detox day once a week, during which you drink only tea (both black and green are suitable). At the same time, your health will remain normal, since the drink contains a lot of vegetable protein and hunger will not bother you much. In addition, tea will give you vigor and strength. If you want something more satisfying, you can add milk to the drink. Thanks to the diuretic properties of tea, you can lose up to 2 kilograms in a day. The main thing is not to get carried away and not to do “unloading” more than 1-2 times within 7 days.

The third option is the tea diet. Everything is simple here: limit calories to 1500 kcal, exclude sweets, fatty and starchy foods, include steamed meat and fish, fresh and baked fruits and vegetables, low-fat dairy products in your diet, and also drink about a liter of tea daily. The result is a loss of about 8 kg per month.

Beneficial features

Herbal infusions and herbal teas that have a diuretic effect can be ordered not only from an online pharmacy or purchased at a regular medical facility, but also prepared independently. Before you start losing weight with such drugs, you need to undergo examination and consultation with a specialist. The beneficial properties that all diuretics have include:

  • cleansing the kidneys of waste and toxins;

Tea or milk tea?

  • 1 teaspoon of loose leaf tea;
  • 200 ml milk;
  • 100 ml water;
  • 3 teaspoons honey;
  • spices (cinnamon, ginger, cloves, cardamom, red pepper).

Heat milk and water, without bringing to a boil, in separate containers. Pour milk into the kettle. Separately, pour water into a glass and leave for 5 minutes. Pour tea into a teapot with milk, add a pinch of each spice. Leave for 3 minutes.

How to take for weight loss

No diuretic drug should be harmful to health, so it is very important to follow the instructions for use. It is important to remember that the effect of urinary products on the body is to stimulate the urinary system, causing you to visit the toilet more often. To avoid getting into an uncomfortable position, try to stay at home or in places where you can empty your bladder at any time while losing weight. So, the basic rules for taking all diuretics are as follows:

  1. The time of administration is individual (read on the package), for some - in the first half of the day, for others - at any time.
  2. The number of cups per day is no more than 3. It is better to start with 1 and gradually increase to the maximum amount.
  3. The course is also individual, but on average for medicinal purposes it is 3 weeks, for weight loss – 1-1.5 months.
  4. The break between courses is at least 7 days.
  5. Every day you need to drink 1.5-2 liters of clean water.
  6. If any side effects occur, you should stop taking the drug.
