apetinol

Dietary supplements to suppress appetite remain among the most popular, since the inability to control hunger is one of the common reasons for weight gain. Since 2010, the appetite regulating and weight loss product Apetinol has been available on the food supplement market. The manufacturer is the Russian pharmaceutical company KorolevPharm. The drug is sold in pharmacies, which serves as indirect confirmation of the legality of its composition. The main advantage of the dietary supplement is that it is 100% natural and safe. Apetinol does not contain substances that can cause addiction to the body, including caffeine. However, there have been no independent clinical studies of the supplement, so its effectiveness is still in doubt.

Medicinal properties

The dietary supplement Apetinol is suitable for comfortable weight loss. Helps reduce appetite, blocks the urge to eat in the evening. Promotes rapid satiety, suppresses hunger, stimulates lipid metabolism. The product ensures the normalization of the transit of products through the digestive system and prevents intoxication of the body.

The properties of the drug Apetinol are determined by its constituent components. Hoodia is a cactus plant containing the tachykinin neuropeptide P 57. The element is present in the brain and in all cells of the digestive system. It regulates motility and secretion, mechanical activity, inhibits bile, and corrects glucose levels. The higher the concentration of sugar in the plasma, the less desire there is to snack or fill the stomach. At normal levels, after eating, the brain receives a signal of satiety. If the amount is reduced, such a notification comes late, so the body continues to require nutrition, which leads to obesity. By helping to produce the hormone, the plant helps reduce appetite.

The next important component in the composition is coleus, which contains forskolin diterpine. Indian mint is involved in the synthesis of enzymes and adenosine monophosphates. Thanks to this, the breakdown of fat stored in the body occurs much faster. Thanks to thermal reactions, metabolism accelerates and platelet aggregation decreases. This substance is included not only in Apetinol, but is also the main component in sports nutrition products, as it is capable of converting fat into energy, preserving the volume of muscle mass.

Pectin polysaccharide is one of the best sources of soluble fiber involved in the weight loss process. Helps lower cholesterol levels. When it enters the stomach, it is converted into a gel-like mass, which causes a quick feeling of fullness, which is suitable for people on a low-calorie diet. In addition, the element is actively used in the treatment of diarrhea.

Expert reviews[edit | edit code]

To write this article, reviews from independent sources were used, and the composition of the supplement was carefully analyzed. A detailed study allowed us to draw the following conclusions:

  • Hoodia gordonii - this plant is indeed used by local residents to suppress hunger and thirst, but its effectiveness remains unproven. The effect of P57, which was found in its composition, was studied only in mice, and it was injected directly into the brain, but most scientists believe that P57 is destroyed if ingested. Adrienne Youdim of the Comprehensive Weight Loss Program and his colleagues believe that this product is not effective for weight loss.[1] Representatives of the US Federal Trade Commission share the same opinion.
  • Coleus forskolii is a truly effective ingredient, as proven by at least two studies. However, it should be noted that the composition indicates a plant, not an extract, therefore the amount of forskolin may be very low.
  • Fiber and pectins - both the first and second are dietary fibers that have approximately the same properties. Without a doubt, they have all of the above effects, but only when used in much larger quantities. One half of an apple or carrot contains several times more of these substances; they are part of almost all vegetables and fruits. What can fit in 2 capsules will be useless, and any nutritionist can confirm this.

The manufacturer claims that the effectiveness is proven by research, but a thorough search did not yield results, and it is not even mentioned anywhere.

Thus, the only working component of the supplement is forskolin, although its amount remains unknown. It should be noted that this component is contained in almost all thermogenics, which are much more effective and lower in cost. Our opinion is no exception; on forums you can often find negative reviews of Apetinol. Side effects and contraindications

Due to the natural composition, serious side effects when taking Apetinol weight loss capsules are excluded. At least that's what the instructions say. Only people with a tendency to allergies should be vigilant, as a rash may occur. In case of overdose, digestive disorders and headaches are likely. However, in fact, dietary supplements with MCC often attack the stomach, causing quite unpleasant symptoms:

  • nausea;
  • vomiting;
  • stool disorders;
  • colic;
  • loss of desire to eat, even to the point of aversion to food.

No less likely are excessive salivation, changes in taste preferences and increased blood pressure. All this must be taken into account before starting the course.

The manufacturer lists the following as contraindications:

  • pregnancy;
  • breast-feeding;
  • individual intolerance to components;
  • pathologies of the gastrointestinal tract in the acute stage.

From a medical point of view, it would be advisable to refuse weight loss with the help of Apetinol for persons under 16 years of age and over 60, with pathologies of the liver and kidneys, prone to migraines.

Important! Stimulation of the thyroid gland with forskolin is dangerous for people with pathologies of the organ.

Storage conditions

To maintain effectiveness, the drug capsules should be kept in a dry place, away from direct sunlight. The optimal storage temperature is 22-24 degrees. After the expiration date, the product cannot be used.

Metabolism and use of apetinol

The drug is said to speed up fat metabolism. However, what exactly is meant is not specified. Such a drug is not able to increase the body’s energy expenditure, since it does not contain registered thermogenics. If you evaluate the effectiveness of forskolin on the thyroid gland, you will notice that it has been proven. But for obvious reasons (individual characteristics), no one can say exactly how much the drug increases energy expenditure.

It cannot be argued that the forskolin in this particular drug affects metabolism in such a way as to significantly facilitate weight loss. The instructions also say that apetinol speeds up bowel function. This is possible because it contains quite a lot of fiber, which serves this purpose. In theory, this can help reduce weight, since many people carry 1-2 extra pounds due to systematic constipation. But hoodia cactus extract, according to new research, is completely ineffective for weight loss, which was even noted in a report by the US Commerce Commission.

How does apetinol work?

According to the instructions, it should speed up fat metabolism, improve digestion, suppress appetite, and do all this quickly and safely. But is all of the above a guarantee that anyone will lose weight?

Here it would be useful to remember some basic physiology of weight loss:

  • a person loses weight only in one case - his body does not have enough energy received from food, and it compensates for the deficiency through its own fat deposits. The process is never “clean”; along with fat, we also lose some muscle tissue;
  • to create a deficit, we must either eat low-calorie foods, or reduce the portion size of regular food, or significantly increase our physical activity, or engage in types of physical activity that require significant “expenditure” of energy for recovery;
  • We can only lose significant weight if we create a deficit over time, and do not compensate for the expenditure of calories through diet.

Therefore, if apetinol helps us in any way, it is that we will eat less. But is our food consumption always so closely related to the feeling of hunger? Assuming that the pills are really effective and we can lose weight simply by reducing our appetite, we should not notice that:

  • we eat without a feeling of hunger or appetite, just like that, “automatically”;
  • We adhere to a certain eating schedule related to business, and not to hunger;
  • we eat until the food on the plate runs out, and not until we are full;
  • We constantly “eat up sadness” or “celebrate” using large quantities of tasty, but not the healthiest food.

In general, if a dietary supplement really works, before buying it, you need to choose an adequate diet with a moderate calorie deficit, and start doing as much physical exercise as you can, so that you don’t have to adhere to a too strict diet. In addition, strength training will help increase calorie expenditure at rest and will promote weight loss.

Is it possible for a person to lose weight without conscious control of nutrition, simply by using dietary supplements? Yes, if this is a hypothetical person who always eats only based on hunger, never overeats “just like that,” doesn’t “celebrate” by eating huge amounts of food, and doesn’t eat “for company.” If this is so, then where does our hero get excess weight?

Indications for use of dietary supplements

It is recommended to use Apetinol, the price of which is quite affordable, for the following reasons:

  1. Having obesity or a tendency to gain excessive weight,
  2. I constantly feel increasing hunger, this feeling is especially strong in the evenings,
  3. A person is prescribed a strict low-calorie diet,
  4. There is a psychological dependence that forces one to consume food in considerable quantities.

    Presence of obesity

It is quite difficult to completely control the processes that influence the desire to eat. Hunger is an important instinctual sensation that is aimed at ensuring survival. The use of weight loss products that act as an appetite suppressant is associated with some risks.

The center in the brain on which the desire for satiation depends may be blocked. Sometimes this phenomenon leads to sad consequences, exacerbation of diseases and even death.

Side effects of dietary supplements and contraindications

Severe side effects when using dietary supplements are excluded. But people who are prone to allergies should take it more carefully. A rash and skin irritation may appear; if there are problems with digestion, the product may not have the best effect on the state of the stomach. Some patients report nausea and vomiting, problems with stool, changes in tastes in food, and increased blood pressure.

Contraindications indicated by the manufacturer are:

  1. Individual intolerance,
  2. Lactation,
  3. Pregnancy,
  4. The presence of gastrointestinal pathologies and the period of their exacerbation.

    Pregnancy

It is advisable to avoid losing weight for those patients who are under 16 years of age or over 60. It is not advisable to take the drug by people prone to migraines or with pathological diseases of the kidneys and liver.
