Some said that Kim Protasov was an Israeli nutritionist, others claimed that he was an emigrant doctor, according to others, this man was a traditional healer, and still others said that he was not at all connected with medicine and the sciences of the human body.
Everything turned out to be much more unexpected. Kim Protasov does not exist in nature at all! This is the pseudonym of screenwriter Nelly Oganesovna Slutske (Oganesyan), who at that time lived in Israel and wrote articles for the newspaper. Among her responsibilities was writing a column about weight loss and diets.
Having published a diet for 5 weeks and signed “Kim Protasov”, she could not have imagined that the method she invented would be used for weight loss all over the world, and quite successfully at that.
This is how the author jokingly describes his diet: “That diet is as simple as a bar of soap! Eat only salads for two weeks, and then salads and a piece of meat for another two months. And that’s it!!!”
The essence of the diet: principles and menu
The main point of the diet, or even the way of eating (40 days after all) according to Protasov , is raw vegetables in unlimited quantities. Therefore, this diet is considered a summer diet. The third and fourth weeks of the Protasov diet - everything follows the usual pattern, but you need to add 300 grams of daily consumption of either beef, fish or poultry.
The menu of the fourth and fifth weeks does not differ from the two previous ones, but the main “plumb lines”, if all simple requirements are met, will fall precisely during this period.
One boiled egg and three apples are allowed every day. It is important to note that the apples must be green. The advantage of the diet is the ability to eat an unlimited amount of food, and therefore the absence of psychological discomfort, lingering thoughts about the next meal and a constant feeling of hunger. There are no regulations on food - you can eat whenever you want.
The body obtains vital calcium, lactose and protein from dairy products and eggs. A person loses weight and builds muscle mass.
