Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Program

The program has been airing since 2011; at the moment, 6 seasons of the excellent program have been released. Hosted by coach Chris Powell. Each program follows the same scenario: the hero, whose weight is rarely less than 150 kg (sometimes much more), writes a letter to Chris. Chris flies in and saves the hero: he sends him for a medical examination, while the broadcast team refurbishes the hero's apartment/house, turning it from a cozy nest into a gym. Chris sets the hero the first goal for 3 months - to lose from 40 to 70 kg of his own weight. In three months, the hero will have another goal and test. After successful 9 months, the hero loses not only excess weight, but also loose skin - through surgery. Exactly a year later, the hero appears before us renewed. The transformation is usually shocking.

Boris Baburov

A resident of Khimki appeared in the third season of the show weighing 154 kg. As a child, he was overweight, and for the first time he thought about losing weight and sports only in his youth, when he began to be interested in the opposite sex. Boris completed his studies in the cadet corps and graduated from the Institute of Physical Education. The man began to rapidly gain weight after a difficult divorce and loss of his job. Boris spent a lot of time playing computer games and eating fast food. I decided to participate in the project when I realized that I couldn’t lose weight on my own.

Boris showed the best results in losing weight not only in season 3, but also in the entire history of the project. He took 1st place, losing 62 kg.

After finishing the program, Boris abandoned social networks and does not boast of new successes. Judging by the photo from the account of another project participant, the winner failed to maintain his form. It is known that Boris planned to invest the winnings in his business project related to a healthy lifestyle.

The Biggest Loser

The fat people participating in the show are divided into two teams. They exercise, eat right, and perform a variety of tasks. You can drop out of the show if you lost the least amount of weight during the control weigh-in. At first, the participants compete in teams, but then everyone begins to fight only for themselves, training with a coach. Timur Bikbulatov

A lawyer from Kazan came to the second season of the show “Weighted People” with 148 kg. Timur's loved ones always had high hopes for him, but due to excess weight, the young man could not achieve his goals. He decided to come to the project and lose weight so that his family would be proud of him.

Among the participants, Timur established himself as a born leader and a strong person. He became the captain of his team, all members of which respected his opinion and listened to his advice. Having ultimately lost almost 54 kg, Timur became the winner of the season.

Their goal is a luxurious wedding. Their goal is a healthy future and children. But all these couples have a problem. Most participants weigh about 100 kilograms. All participants came to the project with the goal of losing weight and becoming husband and wife in an updated form. Two professional trainers and presenter Sarah Ryu help participants lose weight. For three months, couples train intensively and follow a strict diet. The couple who can overcome their problem will receive a prize - a luxurious wedding.

A year later we can see the same person in a completely new form, and this transformation is truly shocking.

"Those who have lost the most weight"


It was in this program that our favorite Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper acted as coaches.
Two teams of fat participants are being recruited. For a certain time, they train, eat right and perform various tasks. Control weigh-ins take place regularly, according to the results of which the person who lost the least weight leaves the project. At first, the competition takes place between teams, but then each participant fights only for himself, regularly studying with a coach.

Each week, the two people who have lost the least amount of weight go home. In the USA this show is extremely popular. It has been published since 2004, and for many fat people it has become a salvation and an opportunity to regain not only external attractiveness, but also physical health. There are also versions of the program in other countries - Great Britain, Australia, Russia, Ukraine. "Two centners of love"

The American show “Two Centners of Love” has been airing since 2011. It was hosted by actress Sarah Rue, who in the past was fat herself and had to put in a lot of effort to regain her normal shape. In this show, she tries to pass on her experience to other fat people.

Nine overweight couples in love who naturally want to lose weight are selected to participate. The weight of most participants exceeds the 100 kilogram level. Sara Ryu herself, as well as professional fitness trainers, help them fight excess weight. For three months, couples actively train and follow a diet. "I was fat"

American show that started in 2010. The heroines of this project were high school students suffering from excess weight, who really want to lose weight and are ready to switch to proper nutrition and exercise to achieve this. Each 60-minute episode tells the story of a girl who conquered excess weight. Before this, trainers, nutritionists, doctors and other specialists work with them for three months.

Most girls weigh more than 100 kilograms before the project, and then lose weight to completely normal parameters. The show follows them during their three months of summer break between high school and college, and each episode ends with them starting school in a new location. A lot of tears and sweat are shed, but then each of the participants can proudly and boldly say the phrase “I WAS fat.”

"Wedding size"

A show about losing weight, hosted by Anita Tsoi (who also successfully lost weight in the past). Started in 2015. By the way, the Domashny TV channel with the project “Wedding Size” reached the finals of the main UK competition in the field of television promotion, design and marketing PromaxUK in the categories “Best Entertainment Promo” and “Best Reality TV Promo”. The heroes of the reality show “Wedding Size” are married couples who have spent at least ten years together. As you know, a lot can change in such a period. Mainly spouses change... in size. At the beginning of each show, for comparison, they show what these people were like on the eve of their wedding. Usually the difference is simply enormous. The goal of the show participants is to regain their pre-wedding proportions with the help of specialists in diet, cosmetology, fitness and healthy lifestyle.

The girls take part in the reality show as they transition from high school to college—three months of the program fall during their summer vacation, and each graduation ends with the start of their studies in a new place. The program aired on the NTV channel. Twelve participants were selected at the casting - nine women and three men. They all differed in age and social status. These people had a common goal to get rid of extra pounds.

Project “I’m losing weight!” is dedicated to a person’s struggle with excess weight and invites the heroes to change their lives for the better, starting with themselves and taking care of their appearance.

Each episode of the project is a story of transformation of one of the participants, at the end of which viewers will find out whether the hero managed to make his dream come true or at least come close to fulfilling his desire.

In the fourth season, unique weight loss techniques await the heroes! After all, for some, in order to put on a fashionable swimsuit, it is enough to lose a couple of kilograms, while for others, surgery to reduce the volume of the stomach is vital.

Viewers will learn about the bread diet and a special diet for those with a sweet tooth, as well as what healthy fast food is, what foods age us, and how eating red fish can help you lose three kilograms a week.

A team of the best nutritionists in the country takes part in the project. They have thousands of clients and tons of lost pounds!
