Diet 7 petals - menu for every day with recipes

The 7 Petals Diet is a revised version of Anna Johansson's famous 6 Petals Diet. The basis of this diet is the daily alternation of protein and carbohydrate mono-diets. Mono (from the word one) means that you should eat only one food, and in the case of the petal diet, one food for one day. The essence of the diet is alternating protein and carbohydrate days , which does not allow the body to relax, and it independently begins to consume fat reserves to obtain the necessary energy.

The diet is short-lived - only seven days , during which you can say goodbye to 3-5 kg of excess weight, and by repeating the diet you can increase the result to 10 kilograms.

Note! You should not follow this diet for several weeks in a row, because, like many diets, 7 petals is not balanced, and long-term use can cause harm to your health. It would be optimal to go through the first round, that is, go on a diet for 7 days, take a break of 3-4 weeks, and then repeat the diet again.

Rules and principles of diet

The diet is built on three basic principles:

  1. Consistent change of protein and carbohydrate days.

In order for the weight loss process to start, a strict sequence of protein and carbohydrate days is necessary. So, day No. 1, day No. 3 and day No. 5 are the days when you need to eat protein foods. Day No. 2, day No. 4 and day No. 6 are days when only carbohydrate foods are consumed. Thanks to this sequence, the body is, as it were, misled. That is, he receives few calories, but does not experience an acute need for glucose. This encourages energy reserves to be drawn from fat deposits. One should not assume that a person does not receive fats during a diet. They are present in fish, meat products, and cottage cheese. This allows you to eat a balanced and complete diet.

  2. One mono-diet replaces another.

Since a person receives only one type of food throughout the whole day, this provokes the process of burning fat.

  3. Meals must be separate.

This means that products with different chemical compositions should not be on the menu. The rate of digestion of food will be slowed down if the body receives several different components at once, which will lead to the deposition of fat reserves. Therefore, the principle of separate nutrition is one of the fundamental ones in the “7 petals” diet.

In order for the “7 Petals” diet to achieve the desired results, you must adhere to the following rules:

  • You cannot swap days that follow in a certain order. The sequence of days: fish > vegetable > chicken > cereal > curd > fruit. They are all links of one chain.
  • You need to eat often, namely 5 times a day. You should chew it thoroughly.
  • You need to drink at least 2 liters of water per day. In addition to this, you can drink green tea, black tea, and no more than 2 cups of coffee. Sugar is not added to drinks. Any alcohol-containing liquids are prohibited during the diet.
  • Any products that contain sugar should be excluded from the menu.
  • If during the first seven-day cycle it was not possible to achieve the desired results, then after a week, the diet can be repeated.
  • During the diet, sports are allowed.

Interesting facts, research

The diet is popular because of its gaming connotations. A chamomile with 7 petals is hung on the refrigerator. Reviews about the diet speak for themselves, every girl has results, even with minor violations, at least 3 kg are lost.

A group of nutritionists from the USA confirmed that mono-diets help you lose weight. By using the same dishes in your diet every day, you can

speed up metabolism.

The diet is based on one type of food, changing every day. The body will not starve, but it will not be possible to eat much due to the lack of variety of tastes.

Seven petals is a diet for weight loss, the menu of which is aimed at eating the same type of food. The body is not able to fully absorb competing foods, for example, fish and rice, a cheese sandwich, chicken and potatoes. It is easier for the digestive system to do its job if overeating and incompatible elements are eliminated.

Sequence of diet days

1 day

The fish menu must be followed during the first day of the diet. You should eat up to 0.5 kg of boneless fish fillet per day. This volume may also include seafood. Fish can be boiled, baked, or steamed. You are allowed to drink fish broth and eat fish soup, but without adding vegetables. During the first day of the diet, you will be able to lose up to 0.5 kg of excess weight.

Benefits of the first day: saturating the body with Omega-3 fatty acids and proteins of animal origin, accelerating metabolic processes.

Day 2

The vegetable menu must be followed during the second day of the diet. Complex carbohydrates, which are found in vegetables, allow you to satisfy your hunger without gaining excess weight. During this day you can lose up to 0.8 kg of fat.

Vegetables are eaten raw. The total volume of products is 1.5 kg. In this case, the body will spend more energy on digesting them than it receives with food. When its reserves run out, fat burning will begin. All vegetables are allowed to be eaten except corn and potatoes.

Benefit of the day: cleansing the intestines, accelerating metabolic processes.

Day 3

A menu based on chicken meat will need to be followed throughout the entire third day of the diet. You are allowed to eat about 0.5 kg of chicken breast throughout the day. Methods of heat treatment: boiling, baking, steaming.

While cooking meat, a small amount of salt may be added. In addition to meat, you can drink chicken broth. It is better to consume it before 14-00.

Benefit of the day: saturating the body with missing proteins and vitamin B12, normalizing hematopoietic function.

4 day

A menu based on various grains will need to be followed throughout the 4th day of the diet. All grains have a hard shell, making them difficult for the body to digest. He spends a lot of energy on this, and when it begins to be lacking, fat reserves are used.

You can eat up to 0.3 kg of various cereals per day. The main menu should be brown rice, oatmeal, or buckwheat. Porridge is prepared from them. In addition to water, you can drink natural kvass on this day.

Benefit of the day: saturating the body with complex carbohydrates, vitamins, microelements, proteins of plant origin.

5 day

The fifth day's menu includes low-fat cottage cheese. The maximum fat content of the product can be 5%. You are allowed to eat up to 0.5 kg of cottage cheese per day. In addition to water, you can drink fermented milk drinks and milk with 1% fat content (no more than a glass of milk).

Benefit of the day: rejuvenation of the body, saturation with amino acids, lactic acid bacteria, proteins, saturated fatty acids, minerals, and relief from constipation.

Day 6

The sixth day of the diet involves eating fruit. They can be baked or eaten raw. The daily dose of fruit is 1.5 kg. In the morning, preference should be given to sweet fruits (cherries, plums, etc.), and in the evening they eat sour fruits. In addition to water, you can drink freshly pressed juices, add vanillin, cardamom, lemon zest, and cinnamon to fruit dishes.

Benefit of the day: saturating the body with organic acids, vitamins, minerals and accelerating metabolic processes.

Day 7

The seventh day menu is drinking. It will be more difficult for others to withstand it. On this day you are allowed to drink only still water. If your health suddenly worsens, you can dilute a spoonful of honey in water.

Benefit of the day: consolidation of the result.

Grocery list

The Seven Petals diet suggests a modest and monotonous menu that does not tolerate high-calorie additives or additions. The following products are strictly prohibited during its use:

  1. Roast. All products presented on the menu are only allowed to be boiled and steamed. Oils and any fats can significantly increase the calorie content of food; fried crust on a dish has a negative effect on digestion.
  2. Sugar and salt. These components retain water in the body, increase appetite, increase blood glucose levels and slow down weight loss processes.

    Fried foods

    Sugar and salt

  3. Sweeteners and artificial sweeteners. All sugar substitutes are divided into natural and artificial. The latter are excluded from the diet without fail, since they harm the body and increase the level of glucose in the blood, thereby increasing appetite. Most natural calorie-free sweeteners (stevia, erythritol, sucralose, etc.) do not have such properties, however, they should be used with caution.
  4. Sauces. Almost all additives significantly increase the calorie content of dishes and increase appetite, so during the petal diet they are strictly prohibited.

    Sweeteners

    Sauces

You cannot even supplement your diet with dietary products, since when they are used, the calorie content of the menu increases and the cleansing of the body is suspended. Both physical and chemical processes change.

Rules for quitting the diet

To consolidate the achieved result, you need to adhere to the following rules for exiting the diet:

  • Daily caloric intake after completing the diet should increase gradually. Its maximum value should not exceed 1800 kcal, otherwise the weight will begin to gain again. For several days after leaving the diet, you must continue to eat the same foods as during the diet.
  • Products at the time of release must be dietary.
  • New foods should be introduced carefully, as the body is accustomed to following the principles of separate nutrition.
  • After the diet is completed, we must not forget about physical activity. To maintain muscle tone and prevent sagging skin, it is necessary to perform anti-cellulite massage.

  • The intestines will be cleansed of toxins during the diet.
  • Excess weight comes off very quickly.
  • The diet is not starvation.

Contraindications, restrictions and side effects

The danger of mono-diets

  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding;
  • Low weight with a BMI below 15;

Reviews and results

Desyatinechenko Elena Viktorovna, nutritionist:

“I am very wary of the 7 Petals diet. In fact, there is no scientific evidence that following the principle of separate nutrition can help you lose weight. No one has conducted clinical studies on the fact that you should not combine proteins and carbohydrates in your menu.

In addition, products that contain only protein or only carbohydrates simply do not exist in nature. Chicken fillet or cottage cheese contains fats and carbohydrates, not just proteins. Without the threat of harm to health, you can lose no more than 150 g of weight per day. The 7 Petals Diet involves large volume losses, which can be associated with certain problems.

It is unknown whether the diet was actually developed by a dietitian. There is no information about this in any official source. You can lose weight by following this nutritional method. After all, all products are low in calories. However, it’s easier to exclude all unhealthy foods from your menu (sugar, flour, fatty foods, fast food) and the result will be the same.”

Evgenia Mikhailovna, nutritionist:

“In my opinion, this diet is very effective. You can lose up to 0.8 kg of weight per day. The main advantage of the diet is the constant change of products. As a result, the body does not experience a deficiency of nutrients. It is important to follow the rules of the diet and eat each product separately for no more than a day.”

Diet with game elements

To make the diet psychologically easier, a game element is introduced, which was also invented by nutritionist A. Yuhanson. On a piece of paper you need to print or draw a flower with seven petals (label each petal in accordance with the days of the diet), cut it out and hang the seven-flowered flower on the refrigerator. At the end of each day of the diet you need to tear off one petal. Each petal is a symbol of another useful day for your figure!
