In pursuit of health. What is fruitarianism and what are its benefits?

Veganism itself is a strict nutritional system. However, within its framework there is an even more radical direction - mono fruitarianism. WHO recommends consuming at least 400 grams. fruits and vegetables a day to reduce the risk of heart disease, obesity, diabetes and cancer. Indeed, such food contains many useful substances: vitamins, minerals, fiber, flavonoids. But what will happen to the body if you eat only fruits?

Correct transition

It should be gradual: from fried to boiled, from boiled to partially raw. Next come cleansing procedures, consumption of raw foods, refusal of cooked food, and only after that – fruitarianism. If you switch abruptly, you can “plant” the pancreas and cause severe gastrointestinal dysfunction. But even with a gradual approach, it is necessary to calculate the number of required nutritional supplements so as not to deprive yourself of valuable substances and not harm your health.

The transition to fruitarianism should be smooth.

The rules of this technique provide for the consumption of fruit in small portions every three to four hours. It is recommended to drink clean, unboiled water any time you want. In addition, consumption of fresh juices is allowed.

Ideally, a fruitarian should exclude fruits from stores and even markets, and consume exclusively fruits picked directly from trees. But in the current realities this is almost impossible. Therefore, adherents recommend purchasing fresh fruits from farmers and washing them thoroughly before consumption to remove any traces of toxic chemicals and fertilizers.

And a few more fruitarian recommendations:

  1. Try to eat only when you feel hungry and stop in time. Listen to your body, be aware of the feeling of fullness.
  2. Make smoothies for snacking between meals.
  3. Don't choose just one type of fruit - try to make the menu varied.

In the long term, fruit eating cannot be considered a healthy type of diet. It will only be beneficial as a short-term diet. But even in this case, there are contraindications. A purely fruit diet is not recommended for people with diabetes, ulcers, pancreatic diseases, kidney failure, as well as adolescents, pregnant women, breastfeeding women, and the elderly.

What you need to know if you decide to switch to a fruit diet

How to switch to fruitarianism without causing problems with the gastrointestinal tract? Fruit eaters themselves disagree about the optimal timing of the transition. Some well-known nutritionists are firmly convinced that the transition period is not necessary at all.

In any case, there are two ways: sharp and smooth. During a sudden transition, it is most often impossible to avoid severe stress for the nervous system. At the same time, rapid weight loss is observed, which negatively affects the condition of the entire body.

Before switching to fruitarianism, you should consult with your doctor to make sure that your health condition allows such a radical change in your diet. If you decide to become a fruitarian, you need to accustom your body to this diet gradually. Fruitarianism is not recommended for teenagers, pregnant or breastfeeding people, the chronically ill, or the elderly.

You should also know that a diet exclusively based on fruits, if you switch to it abruptly, can lead to a sharp exacerbation of chronic diseases and even hormonal imbalance.

Benefits of Fruitarianism

Fruitarianism has its own advantages that speak in favor of such a diet. The most important advantage is health.

Fruits and vegetables that are not heat-treated contain a lot of vitamins and nutrients. Fruits that have not been subjected to heat treatment provide the body with maximum energy. With the food we are all familiar with, up to 70% of all toxins and wastes enter the human body, but if you eat raw vegetables, fruits and berries, then this can be completely avoided.

What is the reason for eliminating animal protein from the diet? According to fruitarians, it is protein that accelerates decomposition processes in the human intestine and increases the load on the immune system and liver.

Fruitarianism promotes rapid and thorough weight loss and rejuvenation of the entire body. It is thanks to this method of eating that a person easily gives up tobacco and alcohol, which makes his head clear and his soul find peace.

Smooth transition to fruitarianism

• Familiarize yourself with the principles of vegetarianism, raw food and fruitarianism

• Switch from fried foods to boiled ones

• Eliminate animal protein (including milk and eggs) and include beans and nuts in your diet

• Refusal of any processing of fruits and vegetables, complete raw food diet

• Transition to true fruit eating

Between these stages of transition, it is advisable to arrange fasting days to facilitate the process. In addition to the fact that with such a transition, the body is given enough time to cleanse itself and adapt to a new type of nutrition, during this period one can decide whether it is worth switching to this strict lifestyle, because fruitarianism is, first of all, a philosophy, and not just eating fruits.

Transition to fruitarianism, menu

Fruit eaters adhere to several principles:

  • The main product is exclusively raw fruits (83% of reviews from raw foodists surveyed).
  • During the transition, they complement fruitarianism: the menu may consist of dried fruits, herbs, and vegetables.
  • Sometimes you allow yourself nuts, legumes, seeds and fresh juices that complement fruitarianism (before and after the main meal).
  • They eat only those fruits for which they do not harm the plants, and they even make reports on photos and write reviews on their social networks.
  • Some raw foodists prefer a somewhat strange transition: fruitarianism recognizes a menu only from those fruits and berries that fell to the ground after full ripening.

The influence of fruitarianism on the human body

Everyone knows that fruits are simply full of vitamins, minerals, macro- and microelements. They contain almost the full range of nutrients necessary for the normal functioning of the body. These are vitamins A, C, E, D, P, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, zinc, selenium, folic acid, amino acids, unsaturated fats, vegetable protein and other essential substances. Eating only fresh fruits, people note the excellent condition of their skin, hair, nails and teeth.

In addition, fruits contain a lot of fiber and dietary fiber, which effectively cleanse the intestines and the entire body as a whole. They remove waste, toxins, digestive residues, lower cholesterol levels in the blood, stimulate the growth of normal microflora and help the proper functioning of the intestines. Such food is perfectly digested and absorbed, and its benefits are perceived by the body in 100% volume.

All raw foodists and fruitarians are confident that the food a person eats should be exclusively raw, since this is the kind of food that nature originally intended. Prehistoric people who ate only raw food actually almost never got sick, and such terrible diseases as cancer were completely unknown to them. Many scientists have repeatedly argued that human anatomy indicates that nature created it as a herbivore. People began to eat animal flesh a little later, due to unfavorable weather conditions and, accordingly, a lack of plant food. The human mind later taught people to make fire and fry meat on it. It was from then on, as raw food scientists and vegetarians say, that the path of omnivorous man began, and with it came many diseases of the digestive and cardiovascular systems.

The best proof of the benefits of the fruitarian eating style is that its adherents almost never suffer from cancer or cardiovascular diseases, and also do not have problems with the digestive system. Their bodies are always slender, because with fruitarianism, all excess fat disappears in the first few months. In addition, with moderate physical activity, muscle mass is not lost, which gives the body a very slender and fit appearance, but without the effect of anorexia. Fruitarians' bodies are always young and flexible, their skin is smooth and clear, and they themselves look much younger than their age.

According to fruitarians, who have been eating raw fruits and berries for many years, after switching to this style of eating, they feel incredible lightness, mental clarity, physical activity and creative uplift. Their hearts are filled with love for the world around them, and their souls are in a state of bliss. Their karmas are pure as they spread love, mercy towards all living beings and compassion. Some of them note that when breakdowns occurred, the food familiar to ordinary people caused them rejection, headaches, vomiting, upset stomach and a depressed state. The body of fruitarians becomes so accustomed to receiving only healthy food that ordinary food acts like poison on them.

Without eating animal food, as well as food that has been heat-treated, the body is cleansed to such an extent that a person’s perception completely changes. Firstly, all fruitarians note that their sense of smell, hearing, vision and perception of taste has increased many times over. They experience the taste of food in a completely different way - exactly the way nature gave it to us. It has been proven that raw food has a much richer taste and aroma than boiled or stewed food. For this reason, sugar, salt and various flavor enhancers are added to boiled food to make it at least a little edible. Fruitarians do not need these additives, since the taste of fresh fruits and berries is so pleasant that it does not need to be enhanced or supplemented with anything.

Secondly, all fruitarians note enlightenment of consciousness, purification of thoughts, physical and spiritual uplift, as well as relief from depression. They claim that fruitarians are very easy to recognize on the street, since these people have ideal bodies, are very active, smile at the world and simply glow from within.

As the experience of people who have been fruitarians for many years shows, this style of eating entails a change in their entire lifestyle for the better, and is extremely beneficial.

Mono-fruitarianism – the main mistakes, or how to make the transition correctly?

Edited by an expert:

Nadezhda Primochkina, nutritionist – 11/13/2020

The editors of our magazine interviewed mono fruitarian Ekaterina Malinina. Katya has been on a mono-fruit diet for 8 years now and has been helping many people get healthier, get rid of even serious illnesses and achieve inner purity thanks to changing their diet and lifestyle.

Katya, it is known that a person can do anything if he sees the meaning in it. Therefore, the first question for you is, why, in your opinion, and in what cases do people need to make the transition to mono-fruitarianism? Why is it needed, and what results should you expect?

I'll tell you how it happened for me. At the age of 7.5 I gave up meat, woke up and decided that I didn’t want it: not because I felt sorry for the animals, no, there was some other reason that I don’t remember at the moment. It was similar to the case when children refuse cottage cheese or onions, simply realizing that they do not need it, it is not tasty. My parents were shocked, my dad tried to feed me meat for several years afterwards, because parents want the best for their child, and then they were firmly convinced of their dogmas. Although at the moment my mother has already been a mono fruitarian for 2 years, and has also not eaten meat for many years.

So, answering the question “why?”, I would like to note that my mother’s late-stage diabetes and hypertension went away. Previously, if he didn’t take blood pressure medication for at least 1 day, he had to call a doctor; there were crises. Before fruitarianism, she had severe migraines, and also her arm could not rise, she got out of bed holding on to a rope, and now she does gymnastics every day and does the splits, she looks young, tissue regeneration has occurred, no one is giving her 70 years. And she also lost 45 kg and feels great. My brother is a mono-fruit eater, he says that even if they pay him 1,000,000 dollars, he will not return to reverse nutrition (cooked food) - he works out in the gym, pumped up his muscles! And earlier, I ate meat, drank alcohol, smoked, and denied what I was doing. At the same time, I have never imposed my type of diet on anyone.

Mono-fruitarian

The fact is that people see transformation, improvement and are drawn to the same. The soul always ultimately strives for light! And I believe that this type of nutrition not only helps to maintain your temporary spacesuit - the physical body, but also helps spiritual growth. In any case, I see that there is hundreds of times more energy - it is not spent on constant digestion and elimination of toxins, mixed, killed (and when heat treated - this is already an empty amorphous mass) food, but remains with me and is transformed into strength, with the help of which I can comprehend what I could not comprehend or realize before (and with my spiritual practices, as well as working with people, I really need strength and energy). And also this energy goes to the construction of the material plane - I have long realized that thought is material, but this is not open to everyone, since there is only enough energy to crawl to the sofa in the evening, turn on the TV, “throw in” a portion of dumplings and go to bed.

Speaking of sleep. I sleep a maximum of 3 hours a day, again because I have more energy. Sleep is needed for us, the “batteries,” to recharge. Mine doesn’t run out so quickly, so it doesn’t take so long to charge it!

What can you eat on fruitarianism, what kind of fruits? Which ones are not allowed? Can I eat nuts?

Being a fruitarian, I eat only fruits, excluding berries, dried fruits, herbs, nuts, vegetables, grains (sometimes avocado, by the way, did you know that it is considered a fruit?), honey and others.

If the body is clean, then even honey will seem very bright, unnatural and very sweet, cloying. Receptors are cleansed and sharpened. Therefore, when I eat even one type of fruit, I feel it in a new way every time, I feel several notes in it at the same time. You don't get tired of this kind of food. And every time I get, probably, no less joy from eating it than someone gets from a cake or their favorite boiled dish.

I can eat different types of fruits, it doesn’t matter. But I also have my “favorites” - these are watermelons, avocados, nectarines, mangoes (and mango vanilla - white mango in Asia), also cempedak is an Asian fruit, something like jackfruit, only, in my opinion, much tastier. But for some reason I don’t like pears, apples, plums. And when the microflora is replaced, you don’t want to eat in large quantities, and when you’re hungry, there’s no lethargy or weakness, no anger or tremor. Completely different processes are taking place. This microflora is not whimsical; it may not ask to eat for several days. Moreover, if you eat boiled food, then the acidified microflora does not tolerate a break in food even for several hours, sends signals through the central nervous system and the person feels weak, it seems to “punish” him. Ate it - “praises”: helps improve mood. But in fact, boiled food does not give strength or increase energy. I ate it - and I want to sleep. In the case of fruits, energy increases significantly and you want to “move mountains.”

Katya’s mom and brother before changing their diet. Switching to mono-fruitarianism

After switching to mono-fruitarianism

But I can say that in the evening I don’t even eat fruit. Evening food acidifies even a fruit eater. After acidification, you already want to eat a lot, a desire appears to eat something from your “past life”, many switch back to “varenka”. This is the mistake.

Important! I don't drink fruit. I keep it in time: at least an hour before and an hour after meals. Some fruits take longer to digest, I can already feel it clearly, I can hear my body.

To the question about nuts, I will answer that for me, at the moment, this is a heavy food. This is a complex structured product, comparable in weight to meat. They do not contain amino acids, which the body can easily absorb, but already formed protein. The body will spend a lot of effort to break down these complex elements. Nuts become acidic and are not digestible. Moreover, it is now very difficult to find 100% raw nuts.

What can you drink? Can I have tea? Coffee? Morse?

I drink coconut water in Asia, and in Russia I drink birch sap - a miraculously structured living water. And also melt water according to a special recipe. Sometimes I can make a banana smoothie (in a blender we mix water, 1.5 bananas and some greens: arugula and dill or parsley are better). If you are on a raw food diet, you can make a drink from any berries (cranberries, lingonberries, cherries, raspberries), warm water and honey; or lemon, water and honey. Raw foodists also make a delicious smoothie using bananas, carob (a natural cocoa substitute) and honey. But this is already too heavy a drink for my body. In general, the water contained in fruits is enough for me; an abundance of water is simply vital for those who eat boiled food to dissolve and push it through, as well as for those who eat salt to remove it and relieve thirst. There is no such thirst on a fruit diet. In general, the topic of water is a huge separate topic, I can probably write a dissertation on it!

Coffee - of course not. It flushes calcium from the body and generally makes it very acidic. But teas (especially green) are acceptable, black teas are also acidified. Tea should be prepared at a temperature no higher than 55–65 degrees. When heated, the elements contained in water become insoluble and are not excreted from the body. This is associated with the deposition of salts and the appearance of various plaques, including varicose veins. The same thing happens in the process of heating food - organic matter is converted into inorganic matter, minerals become insoluble and cannot be removed. Weight gain is associated with this. In general, I can say that I drink (but very rarely) an infusion of Ivan tea, Kaporsky tea - but I do not heat it above a certain temperature, and I also collect and ferment it myself. Many people dry it in an oven at high temperature during the cooking process, but I dry it naturally, this is called solar fermentation. Thus, all the beneficial properties of tea are preserved.

In your reports, you mentioned that it is important to make the correct transition from one type of nutrition to another. I would really like to know more about this. Where to start switching to a fruit type of diet for a person with a completely normal diet (varied, including meat, sweets and other stomach pleasures)? And how to populate alkaline flora correctly? Please tell us about the stages.

First you need to study the information. The brain is the king of the organs, as it decides, so it will be. As soon as a true understanding of physiological processes comes (and not something that has not been verified, instilled by the system and imposed by doctors, who, by the way, for the most part are not healthy themselves), it will be necessary to test and apply it on yourself.

Microflora takes a long time to replace, approximately 21 days. During this period, there may be withdrawal symptoms and relapses into the previous type of nutrition. You can help the body speed up the replacement processes. This can be done quickly in 1 day using special cleanings. For example, using magnesium sulfate (bitter Epsom salt) or castor oil and a cleanse called Prakshalana. It is based on the fact that you need to drink 5 liters of salt water, doing special exercises that open the valves - sphincters. The peculiarity of cleansing is that it washes not only the large intestine, but also the small intestine. White flakes will appear - Candida fungus. The microflora will be replaced quickly. With proper cleaning, even saliva stops secreting onto cooked food. The new microflora now feeds only on alkaline foods – fresh fruits and vegetables. What previously seemed tasty can even cause disgust. I often hear phrases about how a person feels his body and gives it what it asks for. But does he really control his body or does the pathogenic microflora dictate its terms to him? So, when cleansing occurs, that’s when a person truly begins to hear his body. After cleansing, you can fast (as an option - 1 day or 24 hours; hunger heals everything) and you can immediately switch to fruits.

But it is also important to understand that in addition to replacing the microflora and eliminating the fungus, it is important to do anthelmintic - antiparasitic cleansing, since even in a non-acidified environment a wide variety of worms can live. A good remedy is cloves.

Grind the cloves in an electric coffee grinder to a powder, use half a teaspoon 15 minutes before meals, on an empty stomach, with water. The second method is the triad, we buy tansy, cloves, wormwood at the pharmacy, grind it in an electric coffee grinder, mix 1 to 1. Put half a level tablespoon in your mouth, drink it with water at room temperature 15 minutes before meals, in the morning on an empty stomach. Third method: black walnut leaf (sold in eco-shops and pharmacies) – half a tsp. 15 minutes before meals on an empty stomach, washed down with water. We choose one of the cleansings, apply it every other day, 2 weeks.

What are the main mistakes people make when transitioning?

Learning something new means facing challenges, and that's a good thing! At first it will be uncomfortable, the body will demand its usual style and lifestyle.

During the transition period, it is highly advisable to limit communication with those who criticize or do not believe in your new path. This is a temporary measure.

We need to understand that the system is actively conducting its propaganda, imposing its values and false knowledge on us for years. Our brain is the king of organs, as it says, so it will be, therefore, first, you need to study information about your body, understand the basics of biochemistry, how everything works, watch educational material, read a number of books. After that, already having knowledge, comprehend and apply it on yourself. Trust but check! But the approach must be competent; over 8 years of practice, I have encountered a large number of my own and other people’s mistakes.

The main mistake is that the acidified microflora begins to be fed with alkaline live food. This is not her food. Intestinal disorders occur, hair falls out, and the quality of teeth becomes worse. People have been clogging their bodies for years, without cleaning themselves, without replacing the microflora, they switch to fruits. This is fundamentally wrong. Only after cleansing and fasting can you change the type of food you eat. Or they begin to mix food, causing either rotting or fermentation processes. They eat in the evenings, and evening food acidifies and poisons even a fruit-eater. They wash it down. There is no need to do this.

The microflora that is currently inhabited is an integral living organism. When you make a decision to transition, she will begin to dictate her terms. A lot of excuses and internal fears and uncertainty appear. This is natural; she does not want to leave her habitat. A person may even feel weak or unwell, for example, when he refuses meat - this pathogen sends signals through the central nervous system to the brain, as if “punishing” it. After all, when someone quits smoking and feels bad, this withdrawal indicates that smoking is health and you need to smoke, stopping the withdrawal.

In general, I can say that you need to switch to a fruit or raw food diet very wisely; it suits everyone, but many make mistakes, becoming disillusioned with such a diet and lifestyle. If everything is done correctly, if there is support, there will be no turning back! You will feel what it means to live to the fullest!

How often do I need to get tested? What should you pay attention to?

People throw everything into their body, as if into a trash can, they eat dead food (when heated, all the beneficial properties are destroyed), which lies in the stomach for a long time, then in the intestines, poisoning it, the body spends a huge amount of energy, enzymes, ATP ( hormone of youth), in order to remove toxins, processes of rotting and fermentation occur. There is bad breath, a smell of sweat, mucus is coughed up in the morning, many are often sick, children are covered in snot, always have a cold, etc. Of course, everyone’s body’s reserve of strength is different, but for most it is not so capacious and the body fails. This is why there are so many pharmacies: on every corner, but no one goes and constantly gets tested for this type of diet.

I have been feeling ideal throughout all 8 years of fruitarianism, my hair and nails are much healthier than they were before. I have never been to the dentist due to the ideal condition of my teeth, sleep lasts 3 hours, mental activity is high (what I previously did in 4 hours, now I do in an hour) - for me these are more important indicators than numbers, tests and doctors’ recommendations.

Katya's mom became a mono-fruitarian

But we still took tests, and then at the request of those who are very concerned about this issue. Amino acids and vitamins are normal. Moreover, I will say that they were normal even when I fasted on water for 2 months. With a clean organism, it begins to synthesize everything it needs on its own, and to build the material, one apple is enough for it. I made these conclusions back when I took part in the research of modern scientists (physicists, biologists, chemists, etc.) in the Voronezh and Lipetsk regions. We studied how food affects the body. I realized that 90% of all diseases are due to the condition of the intestines, and I became convinced of the truth of the phrase: “we are what we eat.” This was a very significant period in my life for me. I still communicate with many of them, gaining information and knowledge.

What is the difference between mono fruitarianism and a raw food diet, and what is the difference between them in practice?

After cleaning and replacing the microflora, a decision is usually made to switch to a raw food diet or to mono fruits. Raw food is food without heat treatment, without sugar, without chemicals, without animal genes. A raw food diet involves eating grains, nuts, algae, vegetables, and salt. It also includes mixing products, for example, flax is mixed with banana - flax porridge is obtained. I call this a “hodgepodge.”

A raw food diet also acidifies the body (in terms of its effect, it is not much better than vegetarianism). A raw food diet is suitable for those whose minds still remember various “delicacies” and are not ready to give them up. A raw food diet is a transitional stage, which ideally should take, in my opinion, no more than a year. In my experience of a raw food diet, there were gases, bloating, fermentation, there was bad breath, the general energy state and the development of the material plane cannot be compared with the state and development on mono-fruits. From the experience of others: diseases do not go away 100% (only partial recovery), candida-fungus-thrush-chlamydia also remain, the environment is acidified.

On a raw food diet, menstruation persists; on fruitarianism, mono (that is, 1 piece of fruit at a time, without drinking, keeping intervals of at least 1 hour, excluding evening meals) – menstruation disappears completely, but ovulation persists, because ovulation is responsible for fertility.

On a fruit diet, we do not eat vegetables, since they are not a functional product; they can cleanse us, but cannot give us energy. Fruits - nutrition, vegetables - cleansing (for intestinal motility). Our building material is fruit. Carbohydrates are our food. It is advisable to use it in liquid form as much as possible, that is, without fiber and cake, they are no longer needed in large quantities. Energy is juices, not mixed. We minimize fats - avocados, durians, cold-pressed oils, since they are not functional for this microflora.

Fruitarianism also completely eliminates salt and spices. Acute is a lot of stress, the body perceives it as aggression and begins to intensively expel bile. This blow to the liver is recognized by it as a toxin. Over time, you yourself will feel how sharply the body perceives spicy, salty or too sweet (for example, honey) - just when the environment becomes alkaline and the receptors are cleansed.

To avoid failures when switching to a raw food diet, it is important to have a couple of recipes for preparing raw food dishes on hand. But this nutrition is not ideal; it is suggested to use it only during the transition period, until withdrawal occurs. If you want something from the previous menu, you need to eat as much raw food as possible, and then ask yourself: “Do I want something other than raw food?” The body will say no!

And also after the transition, we make sure to help the body alkalize. We drink soda 3 times a week: half a teaspoon 30 minutes before meals, in the morning, stir in water at about 40–45 degrees. It is also important to note that with a raw food diet, an abundance of protein foods, including green buckwheat, nuts and grains, mixed foods, spices, salt and other things, the body remains acidic. There may be a lot of mucus in the morning, sometimes even snot, and there remains a small possibility of oral viral infections (although the duration of the disease is not as long as with other types of nutrition). With mono fruitarianism (without drinking water before/after 1 hour, without evening food after 16-17 pm and mixing food), the possibility of getting sick is completely excluded.

I recommend reading the book “80–10–10” by Douglas Graham. In my opinion, this is the best work that illuminates the differences between a raw food diet and mono-fruitarianism.

How important is it what climate a person lives in? Many people living in the north, in cities with little sun, believe that this type of nutrition is only suitable for southern sunny places, but not for damp, cold climates, where fat saves and protects people in cold weather.

I will answer this question based on my experience. I lived all 8 years of fruitarianism in the Urals and Siberia (with the exception of short trips). When the microflora is replaced, such an abundance and variety of food will no longer be needed. I can get enough of just one piece of fruit. And every time I feel many flavor notes, since the receptors in the mouth are cleansed. The joy from fruits is no less than from boiled food. The only difference is that this food is alive, not ruined by spices and heat treatment, it is the energy of life! And it doesn’t matter at all where you are geographically.

At the moment I have been on the island for 3 months. Bali, Of course, the fruits here are very tasty, there is a huge selection, but, to be honest, I eat here 1-2 types of fruits a day and sometimes not more than 2 times a day. The energy I receive is enough. But overeating (even fruit) does not bring anything good; moreover, an abundance of carbohydrates can turn into fats. And I’ll say even more: I like eating in Russia (in Siberia and the Urals) even more, because I have never seen such gorgeous, sweet, large, juicy oranges here in Bali. The locals here are somewhat small and neutral in taste. In Russia, I usually ate oranges, tangerines, grapefruits - that is, all citrus fruits, sometimes avocados (by the way, such luxurious fatty avocados that are brought to us from Israel cannot be found here in Bali, here they are mostly watery, wormy varieties), I also loved to drink banana cocktail.

Again the question is about the quality of the fruit. In northern latitudes, many fruits are sold unripe, grown with the use of harmful additives and nitrates. Exotic fruits are often brought unripe, green, or tinted. How important is it to buy expensive and high-quality fruits?

Regarding nitrates. I have different types of nitrate meters, but I have already learned to determine the amount of nitrates by smell. Then I check myself - accuracy is up to 90%. Believe me, if nitrate enters in an unprocessed thermal form, the body will simply remove it. I clearly feel this process. If a product that contains nitrate is thermally processed, it will be fixed inside, since the elements become insoluble and insoluble during processing. I made these conclusions when I took part in scientific research on the effects of food on the human body and health. It's better to eat nitrate fruit than cooked food, that's a fact.

Katya, please tell us about your daily diet (meaning the period of mono-fruitarianism).

In Russia, until 12 noon I drank juice and 4-5 large juicy Egyptian oranges. At 12.30-13.00 I ate 1-2 avocados, about two hours later I drank a banana smoothie (from 1.5 bananas). That's all. Sometimes, I could eat a fourth time - some seasonal fruit or oranges again. But strictly until 16:00. I haven’t eaten after 4 pm for many years. Otherwise, the food will sit until the morning. Try also limiting water in the evening and in the morning, you will see a huge difference.

Now I’ll explain why I don’t eat in the morning. After all, there is an opinion that you need to get a hearty breakfast in order to have strength for the day. In general, Maya Gogulan’s system is very close to me, watch her videos on the Internet - back in Soviet times she was already a raw foodist. From 4 am to 12 pm we have a cleansing. During this period, it is advisable to minimize solid food, the intestines are cleansed (if before the 12th day you only drink water or juices, then an active cleansing of the intestines will occur - you will definitely go to the toilet 1-2 times). And the majority begins to actively “stuff” sandwiches into the stomach, washing it all down with coffee, interfering with the natural cleansing processes.

From 12 noon to evening there is a feeding period. During this period, we eat a more dense diet, if with fruit, then mono, that is, for one meal, 1 type of fruit in unlimited quantities. The interval between doses is at least 1 hour, do not drink! That is, we drink an hour before meals and an hour after meals (at least 30 minutes is the extreme minimum); and after 16-18 hours (preferably after 16) I don’t eat - the digestion process takes place, there is no need to interfere with it, throwing more and more new food into a trash bin. That is, this is a whole cycle, which consists of three, 8 hours each (4–12 cleansing, 12–20 nutrition, 20–4 digestion).

Sometimes the body has so much energy and strength that I may not eat at all for 2-3 days, drink only melted water, or be on a dry fast. An indicator of the purity of the body is when, on a dry fast, you are full of energy, you can work out in the gym for 2-3 hours and not feel lethargic and depressed.

Why do you think people often go back to their old normal diet? What is this connected with?

Firstly, these are habits. The system actively works to ensure that people buy a lot, eat a lot and get sick often and for a long time. All events - birthdays, weddings, funerals - are associated with food. It turns out that a person lives to eat, and does not eat to live. For many, this is already the only joy in life; they do not live to their full potential! But you need to understand that when you eat a lot, you spend all your energy on food digestion and it is no longer enough to realize yourself and comprehend this world. When you are passionate and feel the fullness of life, then sometimes you completely forget about food, energy comes from somewhere. Now there is active propaganda of food, there is so much of it in stores that it is thrown away, people buy much more than they need for a full life, attachments to food are cultivated from childhood. It sometimes pains me to watch a mother buy her little son another portion of chips and soda. But this was also present in my childhood. But at that time my parents could not do anything differently; they believe that they are doing a good thing for me. The result is monthly sore throats, snot, allergies and others throughout childhood.

And I can also say that often a person is simply internally not ready for the transition; he starts eating only fruits because he is tired of illnesses, has tried everything and nothing has helped. And the transition for him is the last hope. But here you need to understand why this disease came to him and whether he is ready to give it up. Usually diseases arise due to wrong actions, actions, and thoughts. Vices, passions, dissatisfaction with the world and with oneself lead to illness. And in order to eat fruit constantly, in my opinion, you need to meet a certain frequency. More subtle nutrition refines our energy and vice versa.

When I began to engage more actively in spiritual practices (practices that help us realize that we are not only a body living in one particular life, but also that open up new facets of the world and space), I began to feel my body and how food affects me. And then I could no longer stay on the diet I was on. I needed a lot of energy just not to lose myself in the more subtle realities of this world. I won’t go into details, but I can say that the abilities that I currently have (guessing numbers, prophetic dreams, etc.) lose their power if I make my diet heavier. At the moment I have already switched to juices. There is much more energy and strength. There are no thoughts of returning to the previous type of nutrition!

And lastly: people often have breakdowns and relapse to the old type of diet due to the fact that the body is acidified. It is acidified by tea, especially black tea, evening meals, and mixing foods. In such cases, cleaning needs to be done. It is better to use Esmarch's mug; there is an excellent technique that allows you to replace the microflora again with a symbiotic one. By the way, Esmarch’s mug helps with the initial stages of oral viral infections. For example, when my friends get sick, I recommend that they use it 3 times, 2 liters each, and go on a dry fast for 1 day or eat juices - the cold goes away in a day!

In general, if you are a mono-fruit eater and do not acidify your body in the above ways, then the disease will never affect you. For me, an indicator that a person is doing everything correctly are the following points: no bad breath, no smell of feces at all, no mucus in the morning, no snot, no menstruation (but ovulation, which is responsible for fertility, remains), no smell of sweat, the tongue is not coated.

Do you ever want something tasty? Cake? Herring under a Fur Coat? Do you have memories of your favorite childhood foods? Pancakes with condensed milk? And what about traditional holiday dishes - Easter cake? Olivie? How (and with what) do you celebrate the holidays?

When you gain strength and are rooted in your knowledge, self-awareness, you will become like a powerful oak tree, the serenity of which no one can shake. Then the environment will either be replaced or completely accept your views. After all, what surrounds us is a part of us. If there is a struggle with society, then there is an internal struggle. As soon as you believe in yourself and in yourself, the world will believe in you and in you! And it will no longer matter what anyone eats, no one will focus on you, people will simply be pleased to be in your company, they will strive for you. And, sometimes, even change, looking at you.

Since the microflora is symbiotic, saliva is not released at the sight of boiled food, I no longer even remember what it tastes like. Therefore, I am absolutely indifferent to her. And often it’s not the cooked food itself that smells delicious, but the spices. By the way, sometimes I like to smell different spices, as I really like natural smells, including aromatic oils.

And I haven’t celebrated holidays for a long time, since for me every new day is a holiday! And when we get together in a large group, I feel great, everyone tries to feed me fruit and usually puts them near me, knowing my preferences!

What do you think is the most important thing in the transition? Please give advice to readers who want to switch to mono fruits.

The main thing is a positive attitude and self-confidence! Listen to your heart and soul, be aware, persistent, strong and wise! Make the transition wisely - with the help of cleansing, transition gradually, starting with a raw food diet, gradually thinning out your diet! Look for like-minded people, mentors! And all will be well!

Thank you for your frankness and valuable information! We wish you health, activity, happiness and a positive lifestyle!

The benefits and harms of fruitarianism

It is important to understand that the benefits of a fruitarian diet are mainly noted by people who adhere to it, and not by scientific research. According to fruitarians, this diet provides increased mental strength and clarity, energy, self-confidence, creativity, self-esteem and concentration.

According to The Fruitarian Foundation, eating fruit helps prevent cancer, insomnia, depression and digestive problems. In addition, fruitarianism helps fight excess weight, strengthens the immune system, reduces pain during menstruation, increases libido and generally has a beneficial effect on the body. But, we repeat, the above advantages of fruitarianism are subjective - there is no scientific evidence that consuming fruits can cure complex diseases. What is clear is that fruits contain many useful vitamins and help reduce cholesterol in the body, however, according to the Department of Agriculture of the United States of America, where there are more fruitarians than in other countries of the world, it is recommended to include fruits in the diet in certain quantities, based on your own age, gender , weight, height and level of physical activity.

The benefits noted by fruitarians look insanely attractive on paper.

However, every coin has a flip side, and in no case should we ignore the disadvantages of fruitarianism

Firstly, there is a lack of nutrients. It has been scientifically proven that it is impossible to get all the nutrients the body needs from fruits alone. Followers of a fruit diet are prone to anemia due to lack of sufficient iron. The essential vitamin B-12 is found only in animal-based products, and its absence in the body is fraught with neurological problems. Some fruitarians try to compensate for the deficiency with dietary supplements, but this does not always help. Since fruitarianism implies a raw food diet, dairy products are also prohibited. This means calcium deficiency and low vitamin D levels, which in turn leads to thinning of bone tissue.

Secondly, fruitarians experience psychological discomfort. The fruit diet is quite extreme and is often not accepted by friends and family, leading to communication problems. The third unpleasant aspect is slow metabolism. Some people eat fruit in a desperate attempt to lose weight, but when the body doesn't get enough calories, it goes into a state of catabolism. Those. it tries to extract energy from its own tissue, causing metabolism to slow down as the body tries to conserve as many calories as possible for energy. The fourth drawback is excess sugar. Yes, fruits provide the natural equivalent of sugar - fructose, but if you don't eat anything else, then you get too much of it. Excess fructose in the body can lead to diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity and more.

Features of the raw food menu

Before you create a menu, you need to understand how a raw food diet is organized in general.
Grocery list:

  • All legumes are suitable, except for beans, which in their raw form do not have a pleasant taste;
  • mushrooms collected away from highways and industrial enterprises, but you need to be careful with them: not all of them can be eaten raw, so if you lack experience and knowledge, it is better to stick to champignons;
  • greens: arugula, lettuce, parsley, sorrel, dill, celery, marjoram, spinach, cilantro, asparagus, chard, tarragon, basil, rhubarb;
  • kelp;
  • medicinal herbs: dandelion leaves, quinoa, young nettle;
  • drinks: melt water, fresh juices, smoothies, cocktails, juices (naturally, all this is freshly squeezed, not packaged or store-bought);
  • nuts (any kind, no exceptions);
  • sweeteners;
  • sprouted grains and seeds;
  • vegetables: pumpkin, cabbage (including sauerkraut), carrots, onions, beets, peppers, Jerusalem artichoke, artichoke, zucchini, squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, watermelon, radish, radish, melon (everyone’s favorite potato is not included in this list, because it cannot be consumed raw);
  • cold-pressed vegetable oils - any, but you should give preference to the healthy classic - Extra virgin olive oil;
  • seeds;
  • spices and seasonings;
  • dried fruits (without chemical treatment and drying in ovens, the best option is home-dried, not store-bought);
  • fruits (not waxed): cherries, apples, grapefruit, grapes, pears, tangerines, peaches, kiwi, limes, nectarines, lemons, plums, pomegranates, oranges, apricots, quince, persimmons, bananas, avocados, pineapples;
  • berries: serviceberry, raspberry, viburnum, strawberry, blueberry, gooseberry, all varieties of currants, sea buckthorn, rose hips, bird cherry, lingonberry, cranberry, blackberry, cloudberry.

There is a special relationship here with honey. Some people use it and call themselves raw foodists. However, this is not entirely true - in a raw food diet it is a prohibited product due to its not very good attitude towards bees.

The main principle: raw foodists eat fresh, plant-based food without heat treatment. It is desirable that all products are environmentally friendly, that is, not genetically modified and in the cultivation of which no chemical fertilizers were used.

The break between meals should be about 4 hours. Portions for lunch and dinner should be impressive. The daily intake of greens to maintain favorable gastric microflora is 800 g. A proper dish should not include more than 3 main ingredients. Maximum - 5.

If the recommended menu contains a product whose taste you don’t like, you don’t need to force yourself to eat it. There will be no benefit from this.

Little life hacks

If there is a lack of proteins, raw foodists need to include as much as possible in the menu:

  • legumes;
  • kelp;
  • nuts;
  • sprouted grains;
  • sunflower seeds

Some eat fresh, non-industrially processed milk and natural farm eggs (not hatched). This is still acceptable for beginners, but not for experienced ones. After all, these are animal products that are strictly prohibited in veganism.

For calcium deficiency:

  • basil;
  • young nettle leaves;
  • dandelion leaves;
  • poppy seeds;
  • mung bean;
  • almond;
  • chickpeas;
  • parsley;
  • sesame seeds;
  • sunflower seeds;
  • dill;
  • hazelnut;
  • garlic.

For iron deficiency:

  • legumes;
  • greens: asparagus, spinach;
  • cereals: buckwheat, oats, rye, wheat;
  • vegetables: cauliflower, beets, broccoli, corn;
  • nuts;
  • seeds;
  • dried fruits;
  • fruits: pomegranate, plum, persimmon, apples.

If you have a lack of vitamin B12, it is recommended to eat as many champignons as possible, because it is absent in other plant foods.

When switching to this nutritional system, it is worth considering that the body will constantly lack some vitamins and microelements that usually come from food of animal origin. And the use of vitamin complexes and medications is prohibited by the vegan worldview. However, to improve your health, you can always make an exception if at some point a deficiency of calcium or iron is discovered and you have to take medications containing them as prescribed by your doctor. Although with a properly designed menu, problems of this kind can be avoided.

When compiling a diet, it is advisable to rely on an approximate menu of a raw foodist, in which caloric intake, the ratio of dietary fat, and the presence of vitamins and microelements that the body needs are calculated. And first of all, take into account your own life situation. If you are an athlete, look for food to build muscle mass, if you need to lose weight, look for weight loss, etc.

Menu for the day

  • Breakfast: 200 ml Orange smoothie.
  • Lunch: 1 grapefruit.
  • Lunch: 200 ml cucumber gazpacho, 200 g salad of radish, spinach, celery, parsley and dill, 200 ml orange juice.
  • Afternoon snack: a handful of walnuts.
  • Dinner: 250 g of bean porridge, a small piece of nut marshmallow, 200 ml of fresh berry juice.

The menu for beginners is very important, because most people refuse a raw food diet only because they were unable to switch to it correctly. The main principle here is gradualism. You cannot eat fried meat and hot soups for 30 years, and from tomorrow start eating everything raw.

The transition should be stepwise. On average, it takes 2-3 weeks. This can be seen from the proposed menu, detailed in detail for these 2 weeks by day:

  • first, you give up meat and fish and eat raw food for dinner;
  • in the second, remove dairy products and eggs, include non-thermally processed foods for breakfast;
  • the third week is not scheduled, because it already involves a complete transition to the traditional menu as part of a raw food diet (an example will be given below).

For muscle gain

Don't believe the myths that when eating raw food, muscle gain suffers due to lack of protein. It is also found in plant foods, so this problem will not arise when creating the right menu.

You can focus on the following nutritional plan for one day of a bodybuilder - developed by specialists and successfully tested in practice:

  • in the morning, half an hour before breakfast: 200 ml of raw water;
  • first breakfast: 200 ml lemon-orange juice;
  • charger;
  • after 15 minutes: 250 g of green soup, 200 ml of apple smoothie;
  • strength training (in an hour);
  • immediately after training: 200 ml banana-mango smoothie;
  • lunch: 250 g green soup, 200 ml pineapple smoothie;
  • afternoon snack: 250 g of green soup, 200 ml of banana and papaya smoothie;
  • dinner: 1 avocado, 250 g green salad, 200 ml tomato smoothie.

If there are not enough calories, on days when there are no workouts, you can eat an additional 500 g of watermelon or grapes.

For weight loss

If you plan to constantly adhere to a raw food diet, then this menu is of no use to you - it is better to turn to the traditional one. This nutritional plan is offered by nutritionists to those who want to go on such a diet for a week and then return to their normal diet.

Unlike the classic raw food menu, portion sizes are limited for weight loss, and only one dish is offered for lunch instead of two. In addition, nutritionists do not recommend using sweet fruits like bananas and grapes here, not consuming dried fruits and nuts, and excluding corn.

The result under strict restrictions is minus 3 kg per week.

  1. Breakfast: green smoothie, which must include basil, parsley and dill.
  2. Lunch: a handful of almonds.
  3. Lunch: chickpea hummus, carrot (or beet) salad, but always with garlic. Green smoothie (parsley and dill are constant ingredients).
  4. Afternoon snack: a mixture of ground poppy seeds, sesame seeds and sunflower seeds.
  5. Dinner: salad of young nettle and dandelion leaves.

The raw food diet menu, in contrast to existing myths about its scarcity and imbalance, can include varied and very tasty dishes. There is no shortage of recipes, and there is no shortage of necessary products in modern hypermarkets either. Today, even on New Year’s Eve, you can find fresh strawberries and all kinds of greens. You just have to try it to understand whether this is your power system or not.

How to change the power system?

First you need to study the current power system

How many fruits are on the menu? What about vegetables? Greenery? Do you drink coffee? What is the percentage of cooked and unprocessed food? What is the ratio of plant to animal products? Are there products containing sugar and industrial oils on the menu? Do you drink alcohol and in what quantities? Do you smoke? This is also important! Do you consume a lot of products with questionable additives? It is also worth assessing your condition

Bad skin condition? Do you have problems with stool, for example, increased gas formation, constipation? Are you addicted to drugs from the pharmacy? Do you often worry about colds?

It is also worth assessing your condition. Bad skin condition? Do you have problems with stool, for example, increased gas formation, constipation? Are you addicted to drugs from the pharmacy? Do you often worry about colds?

Only after analyzing the whole situation can you see the big picture. And understand whether you are eating right. By considering these questions, you can understand how to make menu changes more effectively.

The transition period can go differently. In any case, when switching to a cleaner diet, a general cleansing of the body will occur. And the nuances of this cleansing stem from the old lifestyle and way of eating.

Whether nutrition plays a role in recent years or throughout life is difficult to judge. But you can most likely analyze the last ten years properly.

Your task is to figure out for yourself what the basis of your current menu is. What predominated in it - vegetables, grains, meat? And based on this, you will understand how difficult it is and how long it will take to move on.

Abrupt transition

Even if you feel like a healthy person and have never seen a doctor in your life, we would not advise you to change your diet so radically. Even trained raw foodists and vegetarians have difficulty in the first weeks of eating fruit. What then can we say about omnivores, who are accustomed to consuming thermally processed animal and plant protein and whose entire digestive tract is designed specifically for such food?

Although some fruitarianism gurus believe that a sudden transition is better, you only have one health and you shouldn’t risk it. The Internet is filled with stories of people suddenly switching to fruitarianism from scratch, however, there are just as many stories of early mortality. Do everything gradually, so you will have more chances to become a real devotee of this movement and confirm the ideas of fruitarianism with your longevity.

The harm of fruitarianism

There are, however, also disadvantages. A complete abstinence from meat products and other animal proteins can cause significant harm to the body, since nutrition must be balanced. The menu must include products containing essential vitamins, minerals and amino acids.

Some raw food dieters are often silent about the health problems that arise from a lack of essential nutrients.

Mostly, the victims of malnutrition are young girls, who, due to a lack of protein, subsequently experience serious hormonal imbalance and require full-fledged long-term treatment.

If you want to try fruitarianism, but do not want to get health complications, then it is better to use this method of eating periodically, and then return to your normal diet.

Be careful when changing eating habits.

The transition from omnivorism to fruitarianism is a very difficult step. For people who are overweight, chronically ill, or have allergies, eating this way may be the only path to healing and transformation. And yet it is wrong to regard this direction as a panacea.

Without a clear and correct understanding of the principles of fruitarianism, a person can cause irreparable harm to the body. There is plenty of evidence of this; you just need to look at thematic forums. You shouldn’t take someone else’s example as a standard; you need to adequately assess the state of your own body.

Ultimately, food should provide strength, energy and satisfaction, not hunger hallucinations and nervous breakdowns.

Water

There are two completely opposite opinions regarding the use of water. Some believe that juicy fruits contain enough liquid to fully satisfy the body's needs. Others, on the contrary, are sure that even fruitarians should drink at least 2 liters of water daily. And for balance in the diet, they prefer non-carbonated mineral water.

In any case, the most correct thing to do at the beginning of the transition is to follow the usual drinking regime, since the first steps are usually marked by symptoms of poisoning. This is how the body gets rid of toxins and adapts to live nutrition. In this case, drinking enough water will facilitate the detoxification process.

Advantages and disadvantages

Some people learn about fruitarianism from newspapers, magazines, TV shows, others are told by friends. But this information is not always complete. And those who are thinking about how to switch to fruitarianism still have many questions.

So that you know what to expect from such nutrition, the women's site sympaty.net will name its positive and negative sides.

Pros:

  • for a short time, a few days, using the principles of fruitarianism can improve the general condition of the body;
  • immunity is strengthened;
  • Thanks to fruits, the body is saturated with essential vitamins and microelements;
  • a large amount of fiber helps cleanse the body of waste and toxins and restores intestinal function.

Minuses:

  • for long-term use, fruitarianism is not the best nutrition option, because it does not replenish the body’s reserves of some very important substances, for example, protein, fat;
  • the diet is unbalanced, which is stressful for the body;
  • if fruitarianism is used for weight loss, the results do not always meet expectations, because raw fruits and vegetables contain a lot of carbohydrates, some fruits are quite high in calories, for example, banana, grapes, pineapple;
  • For many people, it is difficult to stay on fruitarianism due to the rather strict principles, as well as the strong difference from the usual diet;
  • Sometimes it is difficult to find fresh fruits and vegetables in the winter-spring period, and the price for them at this time is quite high.

Fruitarianism: reviews and results

On the Internet you can find a wide variety of reviews about fruitarianism from those for whom it has become a permanent food system, and for people practicing a temporary diet. There is more than one site dedicated to describing the impressions of people who have completely switched to fruitarianism. There you can find stories on the topic “My path to this diet” and practical advice.

If you read in more detail the reviews of those who have been practicing this diet for a long time, you can find many detailed descriptions of this way of existence and the positive changes that have occurred with fruitarians over time. Almost every forum devoted to this topic contains photos of people before and after following the diet, confirming that its results can be very impressive.

Among the positive effects that fruitarians describe in reviews are the following:

  • Cleanses skin and strengthens hair, cures dermatological diseases.
  • Faster recovery from colds.
  • Improved vision.
  • Increased endurance.
  • Normalization of the condition of blood vessels and heart.
  • Well-coordinated functioning of the digestive tract.
  • Activation of brain activity.
  • Feeling of comfort and harmony.
  • No feeling of hunger.
  • Normalization of weight.

However, this is not a complete list of the positive effects mentioned by adherents of this nutrition system. However, when reading such reviews, one must take into account that doctors do not have such an optimistic opinion on this matter and advise sticking to such a diet only for a short period.

But it is important to take into account some of its features:

  • People suffering from gastrointestinal diseases may experience exacerbation of chronic diseases already in the first days.
  • At first, when consuming fruits, there is an increase in stool frequency. This is due to the presence of a large amount of fiber in them.

If negative effects occur, you should stop this diet and consult a doctor.

How do fruitarians eat?

This food system also has other names - fruitarianism, fruit-eating, fruit-eating. The system provides for the consumption of all varieties of berries and fruits, sometimes fruit vegetables, nuts, legumes, and seeds. Its main principle is the consumption of food for which plants are not destroyed.

This food system gained its greatest popularity in the eighties in the United States. Fruitarianism “migrated” to us much later - after 2000.

Fruitarianism is not just a nutritional system, but also a certain worldview that is practiced by many famous people. It includes certain interpretations of food prohibitions and various spiritual practices. Some famous people practiced this nutritional system at a certain period in their lives. The most popular of these is Steve Jobs, who claimed that eating this way would activate his creative zeal.

Those who practice this system, as a rule, only peel the fruits and eat them, without adding anything or mixing them with anything. Some devotees consume some nuts, but only those that still retain moisture. Dried fruits are acceptable only if they have dried in the open air at normal temperatures.

Another important rule for fruitarians is to include in the diet the maximum amount of environmentally friendly, unprocessed fruits that grew in the region where the person lives. Sometimes a person defines himself as a “fruitarian” or “fruitarian” if fruits predominate in his diet only during certain seasonal periods

But there are much more strict versions of this food system. Thus, some people consume exclusively those fruits that have fallen to the ground and are fully ripe.

Some diets have been developed based on this type of nutrition. For example, a diet called 80/10/10, the principle of which is that the diet contains 80% carbohydrates and 10% protein and fat. It also involves consuming small amounts of green vegetables.

Fruit diet

A fruit diet does not imply the inclusion of only a single type of fruit in the diet. Food should be taken often, but in small portions. Only ripe fruits are suitable. It is desirable that they are grown in environmentally friendly conditions without the use of pesticides and aggressive chemical fertilizers.

Before you start eating, fruits must be thoroughly washed.

Fruits must be unheated, but they must be washed and peeled. This nutrition system allows the consumption of juicy vegetables. They can be used to make salads. Juices and smoothies should be drunk fresh. They should not be stored.

Approximate diet

The diet of a strict fruitarian includes only fruits and juicy vegetables without any processing. They can only be washed and cleaned. You can eat fruits in small portions and be sure to take a break between different fruits for at least 2 hours.

• Juicy vegetables: bell peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplants.

• Sweet fruits: watermelons, melons, bananas, grapes, figs

• Sour fruits: lemons, oranges, kiwis, grapefruits, pineapples, pomegranates.

• Medium sour: apples, cherries, mangoes, peaches, apricots.

• Oily fruits: olives, olives, avocado, coconut, durian.

Most fruit eaters, as we have already mentioned, allow fruit salads, smoothies, squeezed juices, greens, beans and nuts in their diet, but strict followers of this living food believe that when preparing it, the correct fiber structure of the fruit is disrupted, which contradicts the principles of a healthy diet and not benefits the body. They also have a negative attitude towards mixing different fruits in salads. Here is a sample menu for a moderate fruitarian.

Basic Rules

An important feature is the fact that fruitarians also consume those vegetables that are considered fruits by botanists. The entire diet of fruitarians can be divided into the following types of fruits:

  • Sour - kiwi, citrus, pomegranate, pineapple.
  • Medium sour - apples, cherries, cherries, mangoes, blackberries, peaches.
  • Sweet - figs, bananas, grapes, watermelon, melon.
  • Unsweetened - cucumber, tomato, eggplant.
  • Dried fruits.

The rules of this method of eating include consuming small portions of fruit every few hours. This diet does not impose strict restrictions on drinking. It is recommended to drink spring water, and you need to consume it when thirst appears. You can also drink fresh juices.

Fruitarian diet.

The basic rule of fruit eaters is that fruits can only be washed or peeled before eating. Mixing fruits with each other, seasoning them with something, or subjecting them to culinary processing is strictly prohibited. Nuts are increasingly being eliminated from the diet completely. However, there are also fruitarians who eat young, fresh nuts with maximum moisture content.

Eating dried fruits is permissible, but only if they have been air-dried and not in a chamber. The choice is made in favor of fruits grown in regions with favorable ecology, without the use of any chemicals. “Our own” fruits are highly valued because they do not undergo additional processing before transportation.

Some fruitarians follow the diet only partially, increasing or decreasing the proportion of fruit, for example, depending on the season. In winter, when fruits are not of excellent quality and freshness, their content is reduced, and in summer and autumn they are increased. Cucumbers, bell peppers, tomatoes and other vegetables are also included in the food. Consumption of vital parts of the plant is not recommended.

Useful recommendations for future fruitarians.

To get the maximum effect and lose weight, you need to follow the advice of experts. It's not as difficult as many people think. Here are the main ones:

  1. Choose fresh fruits that grow in your region. However, if you wish, you can create a fruit diet from “overseas” guests, to which everyone is already so accustomed, such as pineapples, oranges, and grapefruits.
  2. Do not heat-treat foods. If the peel is edible (like an apple), do not peel it.
  3. Plant foods contain a lot of water, but despite this, you have to drink at least one and a half liters of liquid every day, including clean water, herbal decoctions and infusions, green tea, and a cup of black coffee in the morning is not prohibited.
  4. Avoid salt and sugar. The first prevents the removal of fluid from the body, and the latter increases the calorie content of dishes.
  5. Say "that's it!" alcoholic drinks, which whet the appetite and dull the sense of responsibility.
  6. Do not overuse physical and mental stress; it is better to limit yourself to walks in the fresh air, swimming or roller skating.

Famous fruitarians

Famous fruit eaters include Michael Eirnstein and Steve Jobs, Mike Vlasaty, Chris Kendall, and Maye Fremont. The latter is already 91 years old, and he still sets world records in the 21 km run.

Michael Irnstein

Founder of the Woodstock Fruit Festival and renowned businessman. Fruitarian since 2008. Participates in marathons and ultramarathons, which proves the benefits of clean nutrition.

Steve Jobs

The most famous fruitarian is Steve Jobs. He even named his company after his favorite fruit. It is difficult to say whether Steve’s illness and subsequent death are related to fruit eating, but Estor Katchen, who played the role of Jobs in the biopic, was hospitalized with terrible pain in the pancreas. Doctors had to make a lot of efforts to restore her work. And the whole point is that the artist, in order to get used to the image of a famous businessman, decided not only to copy the image, but also to get closer to the inner world of the genius. A month before filming, he completely switched to a fruitarian diet. Steve Jobs claimed that it was this strict diet that gave him so much inspiration and energy. However, the similarity of diseases, let us recall that the creator of Apple died of pancreatic cancer, suggests the negative impact of such strict fruitarianism.

Steve Jobs followed a very strange and strict fruit diet. He could eat the same fruit or salad for weeks, and after a liver transplant he switched to fruit smoothies. And neither his family nor his doctors could convince him to switch to other, more nutritious foods. Only before his death, Jobs began to eat protein foods. Vegetarians and doctors are still arguing about whether fruitarianism caused his death, or, on the contrary, prolonged his life.

Principles of nutrition

Fruitarians are considered people whose daily menu includes at least ¾ of unprocessed raw fruits. The predominant quantities are fruits; there may also be a share of vegetables. Sometimes nuts and grain seeds are used for food.

Let us list the basic principles of such nutrition:

  • Fruitarians eat mainly fruits, vegetables, sometimes nuts, legumes, grains, seeds;
  • The fruits are eaten without heat treatment, that is, in their raw form;
  • They take only those products for which they did not have to kill living plants.

Fruitarianism can be different. That is, people choose for themselves whether they will eat only fruits or whether they will additionally include vegetables, dried fruits, and herbs in their diet. The toughest, but best suited option for fruitarianism is to eat only fruits.

Meals

To correctly create a raw food menu, you need to know little secrets. We offer lists of products from which you can combine a light breakfast, a full lunch and a hearty dinner.

Breakfast (should be light):

  • fruits (bananas, citrus fruits);
  • fresh berries;
  • dried fruits;
  • seeds;
  • smoothies, fresh juices, juices.
  • vegetable salads;
  • soups are a must (like gazpacho);
  • cocktails, smoothies made from greens (dill, parsley, celery).

Dinner (should be filling and high in calories):

  • nuts;
  • dried fruits;

  • sprouted grain;
  • combined salads from seeds, nuts, vegetables and fruits (beets, carrots, apples);
  • porridge (beans, pumpkin).

Snacks (to satisfy hunger):

  • selected vegetables;
  • individual fruits;
  • nuts;
  • raw food desserts;
  • beverages.

Pay attention to the main difference between a raw food diet and a conventional food system: instead of a rich, hearty breakfast, there is a light smoothie, and instead of a low-calorie and minimal dinner, there are hearty, hearty meals.

Side effects

Full fruitarianism has not become widespread due to the impossibility of creating a balanced diet based only on fruits. Research by scientists has shown that long-term fruit nutrition leads to anemia, damage to tooth enamel, lack of calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamins B12, E. A and D. Despite the large amount of absorbed beta-caratine (vitamin A), it is poorly absorbed without fatty acids . Omega-3 deficiency affects hair, skin and nails. Almost all fruitarians are underweight.

• Anorexia

• Anemia

• Gastrointestinal disorder

• Osteoporosis

• Weakness of the heart muscle

The disadvantages of fruitarianism also include economic factors. Organic fruits are hard to find or they are incredibly expensive. It is doubtful that eating apples from a chain supermarket can improve someone's health. To get a more or less balanced diet, you need to buy as many different fruits as possible.

Power systems

The usual diet includes meat, fish, milk, eggs, vegetables and fruits. But there are people who limit their consumption of animal products for dietary or ethical reasons. They choose for themselves one of the power systems:

  1. Vegetarianism involves excluding meat and fish from the diet, that is, that food for which the slaughter of living beings is necessary. If you are an ovo-vegetarian, you can include eggs in the menu; if you are a lacto-vegetarian, you can include milk.
  2. Veganism is a more rigid version of the previous system. It involves a complete abstinence from foods of animal origin, including honey, eggs and milk. Vegans also do not use any household items that could be made from animals, such as woolen clothing.
  3. A raw food diet is based on the consumption of plant foods exclusively in their raw form. Raw foodists can eat dairy and plant products, but only those that have not been steamed or cooked. From liquids, they choose mineral or ordinary unboiled water.

Radical fruitarians eat only fresh fruits that have not undergone any heat treatment. They can be considered raw foodists with one difference: the fruitarian diet does not involve the destruction of plants.

The most radical option is prana-eating. The system's successors are supposed to be powered by solar energy, but the feasibility of this approach in the long term is questionable.

Why do people become fruitarians?

Despite the fact that fruitarianism seems like one of the fashionable diets and a fad, people who adhere to this lifestyle identify at least one of the following reasons:

  • respectful coexistence with other species;
  • non-harm to living things;
  • nutritionists recommend eating fruits;
  • fruitarians believe that humans are evolutionarily meant to eat fruits;
  • restoration of plant populations;
  • minimum toxic waste;
  • improving climate and quality of life;
  • saving on cooking;
  • variety and relatively easy reproducibility of food;
  • aesthetics of the body and environment.

However, many of the arguments of fruitarians are not supported by science. Simply put, they take their word for it.

Justifications

Adherents of such a food system often justify its feasibility with historical examples. For example, they mention that currently some peoples of Asia and Africa eat exclusively fruits, and people remain healthy and hardy.

There are a number of other justifications for this type of nutrition that its adherents give:

Ethical – it is important to respect all living things, including plants, and not cause harm unnecessarily, while achieving optimal health. By the way, many fruitarians minimize the use of things made from plant materials and avoid items made from animal materials. Nutritional - fruits are well absorbed by the body, they are healthy and relatively inexpensive

They prevent the active reproduction of pathogenic microorganisms, thereby maintaining human health. Evolutionary - anatomical features of the body indicate that man is a frugivorous creature. Since childhood, a person feels a craving for sweets, so it is ripe fruits that best satisfy this desire.

In addition, there are many environmental, economic and other reasons for fruitarianism that its fans cite.

The benefits of fruitarianism

The benefits of switching to fruitarianism can be summarized in the following points:

  • weight loss (for those who are primarily interested in this issue, but there is one circumstance that many are not aware of, so the results are not always what they would like to get),
  • restoration of normal functioning of all body systems, cleansing the body, getting rid of diseases, including chronic ones (however, fruit eating should not be considered a panacea),
  • a beneficial effect on the psychological state: a person becomes more stress-resistant, develops a positive approach to life, etc.,
  • an increase in free energy in the body or an increase in energy, i.e. you get less tired, so you always have additional energy that can be used for the purpose you wish,
  • the level of awareness moves to a new level. This will only be done under the condition that fruitarianism becomes habitual for you, after some time, most likely not earlier than in a year, because within a year there will be a change and restructuring of the functioning of the digestive system (it all begins with it), and then other body systems. Therefore, even the spiritual transformation occurring at the same time will not be perceived by you at first, because your consciousness will be absorbed in what is happening on the physical level, so much later, when you get used to living in a new way, you will be able to escape from thoughts and conversations about food, and only then will you understand that with the restructuring of the body at the physiological level, you have also changed on other planes.

A very important point that needs to be covered on the topic of fruitarianism is the transition to it. It is extremely undesirable to switch to this type of diet immediately after you read about it somewhere, but throughout your entire adult life you have been eating regular boiled food and have not even gone through the stage of vegetarianism.

Fruitarianism is a type of raw food diet where a person primarily consumes fresh fruits and berries. Many fruit eaters even exclude seeds and greens from their diet, although leaving nuts, because, according to the classification from botany, nuts are fruits. If a person switches to fruitarianism right away without preparation, it will be difficult for the body to cleanse itself, and at first even the fruits themselves will not be beneficial.

Of course, we can say that the fruits themselves will fulfill their intended role and cleanse the body, but this may take much longer than you thought, and secondly, you may begin to experience unpleasant consequences of digestion, which is why some novice fruit eaters complain about this or that. for that. But it is not the fruits as such that are to blame, but a person’s lack of understanding of the processes that occur in the body under their influence.

If the body is polluted, as they say, then by throwing fruit in there, you will only contribute to the beginning of the fermentation process, because the old deposits remaining in the digestive system have not yet disappeared, and from above you have already begun to fill the body with all sorts of fresh sweets. Sugars concentrated in some fruits can negatively affect the condition of the body as a whole, which is why it is recommended that at the initial stage of the transition from boiled food to live food, start with a regular raw food diet, and not with fruitarianism.

General information

One type of vegetarianism is fruitarianism. This is its most strict variety, since its main principle is the consumption of exclusively fruits (in other variations, the menu consists of 2/3 of them).

A moderate version of this type of nutrition also includes the introduction of nuts, seeds and seeds into the diet. Very often, fruitarians consume only fresh fruits, refusing any heat treatment. Therefore, at their core, adherents of this diet are raw foodists. At first glance, these dietary principles may seem healthy, but in fact they can cause a very large number of serious health problems. Many people who practiced fruitarianism were convinced from their own experience that such a nutritional system is dangerous for the body. More information about the principles and features of such a diet can be found in the article below.
