We bake on a diet. Low-calorie oatmeal baked goods

A diet is not a reason to deprive yourself of gastronomic diversity and your favorite dishes. With a competent approach during the period of weight loss, you can not deny yourself even such an “insidious” dish as baking. You can reduce the calorie content of your favorite cookies or pancakes by simply rearranging the ingredients. Such a replacement will make it easier to endure restrictions, both physically and psychologically. Diet recipes for baking with oatmeal will be a good help.

General principles for making oatmeal cookies

Oatmeal makes quick, tasty and crumbly baked goods. However, it contains very little gluten. Therefore, in the classic cookie recipe, one-third oatmeal and two-thirds wheat flour are taken.

You can buy ready-made oat flour. However, it won’t be difficult to make it at home. Simply grind the oatmeal using a blender. For one glass of oatmeal flakes you will need to take a glass and a quarter.

Most oatmeal cookie recipes will also require butter. It should be soft, so it should be removed from the refrigerator a couple of hours before cooking.

The use of brown sugar gives oatmeal cookies a special taste. So, if possible, replace regular white sugar with it in any recipe.

You can form cookies in different ways: place the dough on a baking sheet with a spoon, roll into balls and press them down lightly. And to make oatmeal cookies of the same size, roll the dough into a sausage, divide it in half, then each piece in half again, and so on.

In oatmeal cookies, you can add some oatmeal or coconut flakes for a crunchy texture. Nuts, candied fruits, dried cranberries, citrus zest, seeds, and chocolate pieces will also be good. The most commonly used spices for such cookies are cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and vanilla.

Oatmeal cookies are baked very quickly - ten to fifteen minutes are enough, temperature - 180-200 degrees.

    What is dietary baking?

    Dietary baked goods are confectionery products made from low-calorie products. For any baking, housewives use flour with high energy value.

    We learn how to cook baked goods using corn, rice, and buckwheat flour, and as a result we reduce the calorie content of baked goods.
    Even with rolled oats flakes you can bake aromatic cookies, which will serve as an excellent snack while on a diet. They recommend experimenting with baking recipes on your own, so replace high-calorie ingredients:

    • instead of margarine, add low-fat cottage cheese;
    • from a chicken egg we beat only the white into the dough;
    • replace sugar with a spoon of honey;
    • For sweetness, add pieces of dried fruit, previously rolled in flour, into dietary baked goods;
    • For unsweetened dietary baking, prepare the dough with the addition of hot spices and chopped herbs.

    If you follow the rules, then preparing dietary baked goods will not only expand your culinary capabilities, but also promote weight loss.

    Oatmeal-curd muffins

    If you don’t have wheat flour at home, but want to treat yourself to delicious homemade baked goods, don’t worry, because you can make delicious muffins without flour. We will replace wheat flour with oatmeal, which we will grind using a hand blender. And cottage cheese will make the texture of the cupcakes more tender. Oatmeal-curd muffins are quite simple to prepare and even a novice housewife can handle them. If desired, you can also add raisins, dried fruits, nuts or candied fruits to the dough for these delicious and healthy muffins.

    Ingredients

    To prepare oatmeal-curd muffins we will need:

    • butter – 50 g;
    • cottage cheese – 180 g;
    • sugar – 100 g;
    • eggs – 2 pcs.;
    • oat flakes – 200 g;
    • baking powder – 1 tsp;
    • vanilla sugar – 10 g;
    • cinnamon – 1 tsp.

    Cooking steps

    Remove the butter from the refrigerator in advance so that it becomes soft. Place cottage cheese and soft butter in a bowl and mash with a fork.

    Add sugar and eggs to a bowl. Beat the mass with a blender.

    Grind the oat flakes in a blender (or in a food processor), add to the bowl with the curd mass, and mix well.

    Also add baking powder, vanilla sugar and cinnamon. Mix the dough and leave for 20 minutes until it thickens.

    Then distribute the dough into the molds. I used silicone muffin pans for baking and did not grease them. If you have iron molds, be sure to grease the molds with butter. The molds can be filled with dough almost to the very top, since oatmeal-curd muffins will not rise much during baking.

    Preheat the oven to 170 degrees and bake the muffins for 35-40 minutes.

    Cool the cupcakes completely and are ready to serve. Try making these curd-oat muffins and I am sure you will be satisfied with this homemade cake.

    Bon appetit!
