It's simple - the principle of such diets in general does not seem dangerous to health. On the contrary, this method provides for the rejection of a number of harmful products, a number of restrictions, which all together lead to weight loss.

The essence of the technique

The “bloody” method of weight correction was developed in the 20th century by the American naturopathic doctor Peter D'Adamo based on the research of his father. He proved that people digest food differently depending on their blood type.

Blood groups, according to this concept, determine the similarities and differences between people, their emotional characteristics, and their susceptibility to certain diseases. Food gives the body different elements, in particular lecithins, and different blood groups “meet” them in different ways: they conflict or joyfully welcome them.

If the structure of lecithins and the blood group are hostile to each other, food is poorly absorbed and disorders occur. Therefore, choosing the right products is the basis for good health and performance.

D'Adamo's concept is based on the assertion that the emergence of blood types occurred in accordance with the eras of human development. In each period, certain foods predominated in people's diets, and they are favorable for representatives of different groups.

There are foods that, when consumed, make a person with a certain blood type feel great both mentally and physically. From others, he becomes depressed, feels discomfort and dissatisfaction with life. For each blood group, products were divided into 3 classes:

  1. Useful. They heal the body, strengthen the immune system, normalize metabolism, and promote weight loss, since all useful and necessary substances are absorbed from them as much as possible.
  2. Harmful, or “heavy”. They are difficult to digest for a person with a certain blood type, have a toxic effect, and contribute to the accumulation of fat and weight gain.
  3. Neutral. They do not bring tangible benefits, but do not cause harm if consumed in moderation. Help diversify your diet.

The popularity of the blood type diet is based on its effectiveness, as well as the fact that you do not need to count calories and grams or severely limit yourself in nutrition. It is not the quantity eaten that is important, but what exactly was eaten.

The principles of the blood type diet include the following points:

  1. Dividing people by type. These are 1, 2, 3, 4 blood groups.
  2. Nutrition according to your type. Products that are healthy and acceptable for one type of person may be harmful for another.
  3. Appropriate physical activity. The individual characteristics of the groups also imply different physical activity.
  4. Taking nutritional supplements. Due to the fact that some dishes fall into the category of prohibited foods, the body does not receive certain elements: minerals, vitamins, etc. Therefore, some vitamins and minerals need to be taken in addition to the diet.
