How to replace rice in Dukan rolls
If the filling for rolls does not raise any questions at all - cucumbers, crab sticks, fish and avocado are allowed on the DD, then with rice the situation is more complicated. These are pure carbohydrates and starch, which are prohibited until the Consolidation stage.
In many recipes for Dukan rolls, instead of pure cheese, it is recommended to mix it with grated crab sticks. This will make the mass more juicy and sticky, and the products will curl well.
- 200 grams of crab sticks;
- 150 grams of low-fat cottage cheese;
- 2 egg omelette;
- 2-3 cucumbers;
- 150 grams of salmon;
- 4-5 sheets of nori.
Crab sticks should be grated on a fine grater, mixed with cottage cheese and, if possible, blended again in a blender. After this, prepare the Dukan rolls, just like regular ones, and the filling can be anything.
In addition, many fans of Dukan rolls make them for the Attack and Alternation stages simply with cottage cheese. But for this it is better to buy President 0.2% low-fat cottage cheese - it does not have a strong taste or smell. Season it, like sushi rice, with vinegar and sugar, and you can make tasty and healthy rolls.
Dukan rolls with shirataki rice
If you still want to make rolls with rice, then for those losing weight according to Dukan, you need to take a special product. This is shirataki rice, which has become popular since the popularization of this food system.
It contains practically no carbohydrates, it does not contain starch and therefore it can be eaten as a side dish with any food on DD without restrictions, especially on Attack. The composition of shirataki rice is water, calcium hydroxyl and flour from the tubers of the konnyaku plant. That is, nominally these are not cereals, but only products in the form of rice.
Boil it for 2-3 minutes (as directed on the package) and season it hot, like regular rice. Next, prepare your favorite rolls and Dukan sushi the way you like.
Before it’s ready – useful tips for all housewives.
- 3 egg whites
- 2 tbsp. skim milk
- fresh cucumber, cut into small strips
- 1/2 cup finely chopped crab meat (crab sticks)
- 1.5 tbsp. Du-mayonnaise or low-fat Philadelphia cheese
- 2 sheets of nori
- soy sauce
Beat the egg whites with milk and pour the mixture into a heated frying pan. We should end up with a pancake fried in a Teflon frying pan on both sides. Cut the resulting pancake omelet into pieces 1.5 by 4 cm. Mix du mayonnaise or low-fat Philadelphia with crab meat, previously finely chopped. The nori sheets can be cut into four pieces, since we don’t have rice, a strip of nori will be enough for one roll.
Place 1-2 tbsp on a strip of nori one at a time. a mixture of crab meat with cheese or mayonnaise, then cucumbers and 2-3 strips of omelet. We place all this evenly, slightly retreating from the edges (see photo). Then carefully roll up the roll. To prevent them from falling apart, you can use toothpicks :))
Serve rolls with soy sauce.

Getting a slim figure requires exercise and a balanced diet, and the so-called Japanese diet can help you achieve the desired results. There are just a few things you need to know before you start eating delicious rolls and other delights of Japanese cuisine.
Advantages and disadvantages of the Dukan diet
Flaws:
The Dukan diet is contraindicated for people with gastritis, ulcers and other stomach diseases.
- In the first days of a diet, people usually feel a loss of energy. Fatigue is not the body’s reaction to a poor diet and increased physical activity, since all this is not provided for in the diet. Apathy and reluctance to get up from the couch again are psychological manifestations of purely physiological processes: the amount of ketone bodies in the body has increased, the amount of vitamins has decreased.
- If you don't like to cook, then the limited number of products and the almost complete absence of additives will make you think about the need for a diet, and maybe even make you move away from it altogether.
- Choosing approved foods for people with allergies or individual intolerances can be a problem, so it is better to consult a doctor before starting a diet.
- If you have a sweet tooth, then the decision to give up your favorite desserts can lead you to depression. But this is nothing more than a trick of the brain. It is important to set yourself up to give up sweets for a while and after reaching your ideal weight, you can still occasionally treat yourself to a little ice cream or chocolate.
Is it possible to lose weight on sushi?
It turns out that you can, like many other dishes that contain nutrients with a minimum of carbohydrates. Sushi and rolls are predominantly protein foods, so such an interesting option as the Dukan sushi diet is quite possible.
Express diets for several days are also well suited for Japanese cuisine, since it diversifies a limited range of products with all kinds of sauces and spices.
Sushi ingredients - rice, seaweed, marine fish meat and fruits and vegetables - are rich in fiber, light proteins, they contain vitamin A, E, C, group of B vitamins, as well as iodine, potassium, phosphorus, zinc, bromine and manganese , which accelerate metabolism and cover the body’s energy consumption during the period of weight loss.
At the same time, fats are represented mainly by a group of healthy lipids - polyunsaturated acids Omega-3 and Omega-6, coming from the meat of perch, tuna, salmon, salmon and trout.
Neither vegetable nor animal fats are used to prepare these dishes, as well as high-calorie foods such as fatty meat, flour, and sugar. Thus, it is quite possible to lose 1-2 kilograms in a few days of the Japanese diet.
Menu options for diet on rolls and sushi
Let's stay at a 5-day distance, while strictly limiting flour and sweets, and also adding fiber and vitamins from fruits and vegetables. To keep the body in good shape, we use recipes with low-fat cheese in the first half of the day, and in the evening - low-fat kefir.
Approximate daily diet:
- breakfast: a nutritious Philadelphia rolls the salmon and hard cheese it contains are not only tasty, but also provide a full portion of proteins and fats that cover the body’s needs;
- first snack: leafy green salad with additives of your choice - iceberg, romaine, arugula, Chinese cabbage, parsley, celery with soy sauce and flax seeds;
- lunch: a set of rolls with tuna, eel, salmon or perch, you can also have salmon, the fat content of which will be compensated by a slice of lemon;
- second snack: sour fruit of your choice - a large green apple, grapefruit or orange; you will have to give up bananas and pineapples - they contain too much sweetness and, accordingly, carbohydrates;
- dinner: nori seaweed or seaweed in the form of a salad can be ideally complemented with several sushi with shrimp or eel;
- at night: a glass of low-fat kefir or milk sourdough.
This is an approximate menu that you can change to your taste while remaining within the Dukan protein diet. The difference is that you can eat according to Dukan for a long time, while the sushi diet will give you a fasting week.
You cannot sit on rolls alone for more than 5-6 days, this will affect the functioning of the intestines, and bloating and constipation may appear. And spicy wassabi and pickled ginger, which are consumed in abundance with sushi for safe digestion of raw seafood, are unlikely to be suitable for long-term nutrition for those who are familiar with gastritis and colitis.
How much sushi is possible on a diet?
And now we come to the key point - the number of servings and their volume. If your stomach is stretched by the habit of overeating, then you are unlikely to be happy to learn that the portions in the menu we are discussing are very modest. The main difficulty for losing weight on land is to stick to the plan and not try to absorb the supplement in the form of a second set for lunch.
The optimal number of rolls in a set for any meal is 5-6 pieces. Usually this allows you to be full and not overeat. However, if you plan to cook yourself, resist the temptation to make larger appetizers. This way you will not only violate the recipe of the dish, but also negate the results of the diet.
There are contraindications, consult your doctor.
Sushi is an overseas dish, one might even say overseas. But in our country they have been eaten for several decades, and unlike many other exotic dishes, most of our compatriots treat sushi with sympathy. Few people have not tried this product. Almost every city has restaurants that serve sushi. Many housewives prepare them at home, and do it regularly. Today we will talk about the effect of this dish on a person’s body weight.
Sushi diet for weight loss
Some people love sushi so much that they would readily agree to eat it morning, lunch and evening. It is for such connoisseurs of Japanese cuisine that a weight loss diet based on this product was created. During the day, for at least one week, you should eat only this dish.
Sushi diet rules:
- meals – three times a day, and no more;
- in the process of preparing sushi, you need to take classic recipes using a minimum of ingredients;
- You can add cheese to sushi, but this dish can only be eaten for breakfast;
- You are allowed to drink water with lemon, tea and coffee without sugar.
How effective the diet will be depends on how much sushi you eat at one time. This product has not very high, but not the lowest calorie content. The diet is well tolerated and has no side effects. But it may not bring results if you overeat. Eat sushi in small quantities, otherwise your week of diet will be wasted.
Is it possible to eat sushi while losing weight?
You can eat sushi while losing weight. Look at the Japanese: among them there are the fewest overweight people. Of course, they owe their figure not only to proper nutrition, but still, sushi is not such a high-calorie product that it should be abandoned during a diet for weight loss. The dish usually contains:
- seafood;
- fish;
- seaweed.
Of this list, rice is the only ingredient that is relatively high in carbohydrates. But even this product is not capable of having a pronounced negative effect on your body weight, since it has an average glycemic index. Rice contains a lot of fiber, and carbohydrates are represented mainly by polysaccharides, which are absorbed gradually. Fish and seafood are a source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids. Seaweed will provide you with iodine and insoluble dietary fiber.
Sushi is a dish that satisfies well with low energy value and provides health benefits. The exception is when the following products are used in the process of preparing sushi:
- hard cheese;
- butter;
- vegetable oils.
They are rich in fat, and therefore sharply increase the calorie content of the finished dish. But in most cases, there are no oils in the composition, and so little cheese is added that it cannot significantly harm your figure.
Can you eat sushi on the Dukan Diet?
Based on limiting carbohydrate intake. This is a nutritional pattern in which the basis of the diet is proteins and fats. Sushi contains rice, which is rich in carbohydrates. Therefore, this product should be consumed with caution and in small quantities. The principle of the Dukan diet itself is based on strict restriction of carbohydrates. If it is not followed, the diet plan will not only become ineffective, but may even cause weight gain.
But it’s worth mentioning that the Dukan diet is divided into stages, and each of them requires a separate menu. And if at the very beginning there is very strict control of consumed carbohydrate-containing foods, then later the diet becomes softer. You have “off” days when you can enjoy carbohydrate-containing dishes without guilt.
Dukan's book doesn't say anything specifically about sushi. Most of the products included in its composition are not prohibited. But rice is under strict control. Possibility of its use in phases:
- “Attack” – rice is prohibited;
- “Alternation” – rice is prohibited;
- “Fixation” - rice is allowed in the amount of 200 g, twice a week;
- “Stabilization” - rice is allowed 200 g, 2 times a week, plus during “weekends”.
Based on this data, you can plan your sushi preparation. But remember that you will be able to use the product no earlier than your body weight returns to normal.
Can you eat sushi on the Maggi diet?
Lasts a month. Unlike most other nutrition systems for weight loss, it does not allow any liberties. The menu is scheduled by day, and there is no sushi on the menu. Another question is whether introducing sushi into the menu contrary to the rules will affect the effectiveness of the diet? Most likely, yes, because it is based on a strict restriction of fats and carbohydrates. Sushi contains both fats (fish) and carbohydrates (rice), and therefore the product is not suitable for the Maggi diet.
Is it possible to eat sushi on the Protasov diet?
Lasts 5 weeks. For the first 14 days, foods rich in carbohydrates are prohibited, and the diet consists mainly of vegetables, fruits and dairy products. Therefore, you cannot eat sushi during the initial period of the Protasov diet, since it is made using rice.
Starting from the third week, the introduction of meat, fish and cereals is allowed: oatmeal, millet, buckwheat. Rice is still prohibited.
After the end of the fifth and last week of the Protasov diet, another 5 weeks of exiting from it follow. Rice remains among the prohibited foods. This leaves you with only two options: either refrain from eating sushi for 2.5 months of the diet, or learn how to make sushi from oatmeal. But this, as you understand, will be a completely different dish.
