If you are on a diet, this is not a reason to give up baking. With this simple recipe and a waffle iron you can easily make delicious and healthy waffles. Great treat!

Sugar wafers according to Dukan

To prepare, prepare the following ingredients:

  • 2 eggs;
  • 2 tbsp. (18 g.) oat bran;
  • 1 tbsp. with a heap (20 g) of corn starch;
  • 3 tbsp. with a slide (60 g) of skimmed milk powder;
  • 80 gr. cottage cheese 0% fat (pasty);
  • 80 ml. milk 0% fat;
  • 8 gr. sweetener Fitparad;
  • vanilla on the tip of a knife;
  • vegetable oil for lubricating the waffle iron (1 tsp for Alternating, 1 tbsp for Fixing).

Norms: 2 DOPs - daily norm, BRAN for 1 day

Classic Dukan waffles

For this option you will need the following products:

  • 2 eggs;
  • 2 tbsp. (18 g.) oat bran;
  • 1 tbsp. with a heap (20 g) of corn starch;
  • 80 gr. cottage cheese 0% fat (pasty);
  • 80 ml. milk 0% fat;
  • 8-10 gr. sweetener Fitparad;
  • vanilla on the tip of a knife.
  • vegetable oil for lubricating the waffle iron (1 tsp for Alternating, 1 tbsp for Fixing).

Norms: 1 ADDITION, BRAN for 1 day

Viennese potato waffles with cheese

Another recipe for vegetable baking, which is suitable for both a snack and a full lunch or dinner. These waffles go well with a light salad of fresh tomatoes, avocado and herbs.

However, potato waffles taste good with almost all vegetables, so choose your favorites for the salad and eat with pleasure.

Ingredients:

• boiled potatoes – 300 g • brined Feta cheese – 100 g • frozen spinach or fresh – to taste • fresh dill – a couple of sprigs • green onions – a couple of feathers • olive oil – 30 g • chicken eggs – 4 pcs • whole wheat flour – 40 g • baking powder – ½ tsp. • salt and pepper to taste.

Preparation:

– mix the dry ingredients in a bowl: flour, baking powder, salt and pepper – mash the pre-boiled potatoes, add cheese, butter, chopped spinach, dill and onion, mix – beat the eggs separately using a mixer

– combine the flour mixture with the potato mixture, stir. Then carefully add the beaten eggs and mix

– Preheat the multi-baker and bake the waffles until golden brown, about 8 - 10 minutes.

The waffles are soft and slightly crispy due to the fried golden crust. If desired, the recipe can be varied by replacing mashed potatoes with fresh, finely grated and squeezed potatoes. The result is a low-calorie analogue of potato pancakes - tasty and aromatic, but without a drop of frying oil.

Cooking waffles according to Dukan

As you may have already noticed, I offer not one, but two proven recipes for Dukan waffles. Why? Each of these recipes is wonderful in its own way and in the future I plan to use them to prepare other Dukan desserts.

The process of preparing waffles in both the first and second recipes is the same, except that for sugar wafers you need to add skim milk powder.

PP waffles made from oatmeal (oat flour) with banana

The recipe for these waffles consists of only three ingredients - oatmeal, bananas and water. Here is a great way to pamper yourself with a sweet but dietary dessert with a minimum calorie range. By the way, if you adhere to Lent, Viennese oat waffles with bananas will add a pleasant variety to your Lenten diet.

If desired, add raisins, small pieces of softened dried apricots or prunes to the dough. Grated apple, a little seeds or sesame go perfectly with banana. In general, use your imagination – the dish will only benefit from it!

Step-by-step instructions with photos of preparing waffles according to Dukan

Watch and repeat:

Weigh the oat bran.

Fill with milk.

Leave for 20-25 minutes (no more!) for the bran to swell.

Weigh the starch and milk powder, if you are preparing sugar wafers, add vanillin here.

Break two eggs into a deep bowl, add cottage cheese and sweetener.

Beat eggs, cottage cheese and sweetener until smooth.

Add the dry ingredients according to the recipe and the swollen bran.

Beat everything well again.

The waffle dough is ready - it turns out runny.

Frying waffles:

Turn on the waffle iron, pour oil into a plate and take out a wire rack on which we will cool the finished waffles.

Grease the surface of the waffle iron with oil and pour in the dough.

I would like to dwell on this step in a little more detail, because... it all depends on your waffle iron. If it is the same type as mine, then you need:

  1. pour the dough so that it completely fills the surface;
  2. close the lid of the waffle iron and press it down using two oven mitts - the surface of the waffle iron heats up and hot, scalding steam comes out of it;
  3. keep the lid on for 2 minutes, then release and leave for another minute (I use a timer).

Unfortunately, my model does not have a clamp that would press the two surfaces tightly. I think this is a very important feature to look for when purchasing a waffle iron.

You will determine the cooking time for the waffles for yourself, although it is quite possible that my “formula” will work.

Open the lid of the waffle iron and take out the finished waffles.

Cool the waffles on a wire rack.

After cooling, you can stack them on a plate on top of each other.

It’s true that I got such a pile for the first time, usually everything is eaten instantly, but here, for photographing, I had to send my husband and children for a walk

Very often I catch myself thinking that “we are not looking for easy ways.” For almost 2 weeks, every day, I baked these waffles and tried different variations of them. I sincerely hope that you will like my tips and recipes, and that Dukan waffles will become one of your favorite desserts.

How to choose a waffle iron?

I think that after everything I read and saw, many who have not yet acquired a waffle iron have the idea of ​​purchasing one. So which waffle iron should you buy so that everything is delicious?

I can’t advise you on any standard solution (brand, model, etc.), I can only list the most important, in my opinion, characteristics that a waffle iron should have:

1. The presence of a clamp - I wrote about this above. The surfaces of the waffle iron must fit tightly against each other during baking, and this is especially important for Dukan waffles.

The fact is that the composition includes starch, even in the absence of baking powder in the dough, it sharply increases the volume of the waffles, because of this the top lid rises, and the waffles will be very pale and not baked - CHECKED!

2. Removable panels or the ability to wash them under running water - the surface of the waffle iron is very difficult to clean. Oil and waffle particles remain between the pattern, which are practically invisible against a dark background. In a waffle iron of the type I have, you cannot fill the panels with water. What does it mean? I have to wipe them with a rag or sponge, and this is very inconvenient and not entirely safe.

3. The lid of the waffle iron should not be closed at the moment when you pour the dough into it, i.e. it must be held without assistance, otherwise burns are possible. This item is more of a defect than a characteristic, so be careful when choosing a waffle iron!

I threw out the waffle iron

My cheap waffle iron had a non-stick coating peeling off after just 2 weeks of use - it couldn’t stand up to my culinary experiments.

Using a waffle iron with a peeling non-stick coating is dangerous to your health!

In connection with the above, I would like to add point number 4 to the advice on choosing a waffle iron - do not buy a cheap waffle iron, take the choice of this small but very important household appliance more seriously

Now I’m looking for a new waffle iron; there are already several options, which I’ll definitely write about later. Don't be offended, but the promised recipes for waffle cakes have been postponed for a while.

Which waffles taste better and are they crunchy?

Both waffle options are worthy of your attention, so you need to try them all. Classic waffles are more suitable as a base for cakes, because... there is only 1 DOP in one serving, and I would recommend preparing sugar wafers for tea, sprinkling them with various spices, for example, cinnamon, milk powder, cocoa, lemon zest and enjoying their truly noble, truly rich and delicate taste.

I would say this - they crunch, and then only under certain conditions that are not yet entirely clear to me. Most likely it's my waffle iron, I think the crunch requires a different type that bakes thinner waffles. If you have your own recipe for happiness, in the sense of crispy waffles, I would be grateful if you share it in the comments. To be honest, I doubt that Dukan waffles can even crisp up in a waffle iron.

Although there were a couple of times when I over-fryed the classic waffles, there was something similar to a crunch, but it disappeared as soon as they cooled. Sugar wafers are simply incredibly delicious, soft, fluffy and melt in your mouth.

What desserts can you use waffles for? Firstly, you can eat waffles just like that - it’s incredibly tasty and unusual. This dessert is unlike any you have tried before on the Dukan Diet.

Secondly, from the moment the waffle iron “settled” in my apartment, and this happened on March 8th of this year, I have already come up with 5 options for waffle cakes, which captivated me not only with their ease of preparation, but also with their unusual, I would even She said it was an unusual taste. These are not sponge cakes, they are something else, more delicious and very real. So expect at least 5 recipes for Dukan waffle cakes in the very near future. I don’t rule out that by the time I’m ready to post recipes, the number of options may increase. Do not miss!
