Fasting day on buckwheat: minus – 2 kg, plus – good mood

To keep the house tidy, we clean it regularly. Our body also needs to be “cleaned,” especially in light of the listed consequences. And this does not mean at all that only people who are overweight and dream of a slim figure should take care of themselves.

Cleansing the body of waste and toxins is necessary for everyone who eats tasty, but not healthy food. A fasting day, carried out once a week, will not only cleanse the body of harmful substances and prevent the development of most diseases, but will also charge the body with extraordinary lightness and energy.

Buckwheat is considered a dietary product because it does not contain substances that turn into sugar and are stored in the body as fat. Buckwheat not only has the ability to cleanse the intestines, but also remove waste, toxins and even radiation! Is it worth talking about the nutritional value of this cereal? In addition, this tasty cereal helps lower blood cholesterol levels, which makes buckwheat an excellent product to include frequently in your diet.

Before we move on to the description of buckwheat day, let's get acquainted with its main component. >>>

What is buckwheat

Edible or common buckwheat (Fagopyrum - “beech-like nut”) is a herbaceous plant, a cereal crop. It is grown most of all in China, Russia is in second place in this indicator, Ukraine is in third.

The plant’s homeland is Northern India, where it is called “black rice.” It grows wild in the western foothills of the Himalayas. Humanity has been eating it for more than 5,000 years.

It is made from:

  • buckwheat (whole grain);
  • prodel (crushed grain);
  • Smolensk groats (highly crushed kernels);
  • buckwheat flour;
  • medical preparations.

Chemical composition

Buckwheat flowers contain:

  • routine,
  • fagopyrin,
  • caffeic, gallic, protecholic and chlorogenic acids.

Grains contain a lot of iron and also:

  • zinc,
  • potassium,
  • calcium,
  • iodine,
  • phosphorus,
  • fluorine,
  • cobalt,
  • molybdenum,
  • vitamins B1, B2, B9, PP, E.

In addition to microelements and vitamins, cereals contain:

  • proteins (digestibility up to 78%);
  • starch;
  • fixed oils;
  • Sahara;
  • cellulose;
  • organic acids.

Buckwheat contains a lot of proteins (11 g per 100 g) and they are superior to other cereals in terms of methionine and lysine content. The carbohydrates in it are also good, with a high glycemic index, thanks to which the feeling of fullness remains for a long time.

What are the benefits of this diet?

Buckwheat is very beneficial for the body; thanks to its regular use, you can achieve the following effects:

  • Increase the level of hemoglobin in the blood.
  • Normalize blood pressure.

Naturally, buckwheat helps fight excess weight. This is possible, among other things, due to magnesium, which is part of the cereal. Buckwheat grains act as a natural “brush” for the intestines, removing everything unnecessary from it.

Buckwheat unloading technique and what results to expect

You need to remember: a buckwheat fasting day, in most cases, will allow you to burn only those calories that you consumed the day before and will not allow new fat to be deposited, and the hated fat will hang around where it was - on the stomach and sides.

Options for a fasting day on buckwheat

Buckwheat fasting and cleansing diet can be tasty and to some extent varied. In all versions, we prepare buckwheat porridge using the method described above, and we diversify the menu with one option from the ones given below.

Option one - if it’s difficult without salt

If the porridge turns out to be too dry and difficult to swallow without salt, you can add to it:

  • once a little kelp or soy sauce;
  • another time, lightly poached onions in a minimal amount of vegetable oil or without it at all;
  • for the third time a teaspoon of honey.

Option two - with white kvass

Wash down the buckwheat with white buckwheat-wheat-rye kvass, which contains lactic acid bacteria that enhance immunity.

To prepare it we will need:

  • 250 g barley malt;
  • 500 g rye malt;
  • 2 kg rye flour;
  • 0.5 kg buckwheat flour;
  • 0.5 kg wheat flour
  • 25 g yeast;
  • 2 tbsp. spoons of dry curly mint (not peppermint);
  • 25 g cumin seeds.
  • There is four times more water by volume than the flour and malt mixture.

Making the starter:

  1. We dilute 40 g of wheat flour in warm water, add yeast and let rise.

Preparing kvass:

  1. Mix barley and rye malt, add warm purified water until a batter forms.
  2. Mix all the flour dry and mix it into the malt in small portions until smooth, adding warm water.
  3. Leave the batter in a warm place for 5 hours.
  4. Prepare the wort: add 7 liters of slightly cooled boiling water and stir thoroughly until smooth, add caraway seeds, mint and sourdough.
  5. We set the wort for fermentation in a warm place for 12 hours.
  6. The fermented kvass must be drained and strained, leaving the grounds. Keep refrigerated.

Option three - with apples

Supplement your fasting day with green apples. Three to four medium-sized apples are added to the buckwheat porridge, which are eaten during snacks.

Option four - almost raw food

In the evening, pour raw, washed buckwheat with lactic acid starter, kefir or liquid yogurt. The buckwheat will swell overnight and you can eat it in the morning. During the day - only buckwheat and not too sour juices.

Caution: if you have an intestinal or stomach ulcer or active gastritis, you can consume buckwheat only with your doctor’s permission.

Option five - with buckwheat and kefir

A lot has already been said and written about the benefits of kefir and other fermented milk products, so it’s difficult to add anything new to this. But the fact that kefir helps in the process of removing fat metabolism products and relieves heaviness in the stomach makes it indispensable during a fasting day.

We prepare buckwheat porridge, as mentioned above, by brewing rather than boiling in order to preserve the maximum usefulness.

With porridge on this day it is supposed to consume one liter of kefir with one percent fat content. You need to eat as soon as you feel hungry. We simply wash down the porridge with kefir. A little porridge, unsalted and unsweetened, a little kefir.

And throughout the fasting day on buckwheat and kefir, in between meals, drink mineral water, green or herbal tea. You can drink up to 3 liters of liquid per day. This way you can lose a couple of kilograms. It all depends on your starting weight, the more you weigh, the more weight you lose.

Contraindications

Despite the enormous benefits of buckwheat and kefir, such a diet can be harmful to the body.

  • There are a number of contraindications, which include:
  • nursing mothers - since many useful substances are transferred to the baby with milk, their supply needs to be replenished. That is, regularly consume healthy foods in sufficient quantities;
  • people with gastrointestinal diseases - such diseases require a balanced diet, and fasting can only aggravate the situation;
  • individual food intolerance;
  • poor health - fasting days should be spent in absolute comfort, so if you feel even a little unwell, it is better to postpone fasting.

Unloading your body is a great way to cleanse yourself and improve your health. The main thing is to follow all the rules and pay attention to contraindications, then fasting will not harm you, but will give you a feeling of lightness and noticeable weight loss.

Preparing for fasting day

You decided to unload with buckwheat, knowing that light food will not linger on your stomach with fat folds. Well, it’s a necessary and useful thing. And in order to lose a little weight, and not just prevent the food eaten the day before from being stored, some preparation is required.

Some people think: today, thank God, you can still eat a fresh sweet roll with butter and tea, after having eaten a couple of strong sandwiches with sausage and pickles. Well yes, delicious. But it is useless to unload to lose weight after such a disgrace, only in order not to gain excess weight, which is also not bad.

So, the day before the start of unloading, eat any cereals, vegetables, fish. Avoid fatty foods, as well as smoked foods. Fried foods are prohibited. It is better to replace meat with fish, no salads with mayonnaise. You should not drink soda, especially sweet soda. Food should be low in calories. Eating a light meal the day before will keep you energized for the fasting day.

If it will not be easy for you to survive without your usual food, it is very important to prepare yourself psychologically in addition to food preparation. If the day before you only think about the fact that tomorrow you will suffer severely, denying yourself the usual goodies, so today you will eat to your heart’s content, then it is better not to start unloading.

You can use the following psychological tactics. Think approximately in this way: now, the weekend is coming, you can relax, restore your strength and give your stomach a rest. The attitude must be positive. Think about how much benefit the buckwheat unloading procedure will bring you.
